December 5th, 2007 - Yesterday we had the pleasure of introducing you to Max Ink. Tonight we continue that conversation by introducing you to a comic creator's group which he works with in Columbus, Ohio. Tonight, we welcome Sunday Comix to the Comic Related family!
What Is Sunday Comix? Sunday Comix is an organization based in Columbus that provides opportunities for artists and writers of all formats and genres of sequential art (comic books, strips, graphic novels, manga, cartoons, etc.) to share their works-in-progress and receive constructive critiques from other creators in order to develop their personal styles as well as encouraging a sense of community. The group is open to all and regularly meets one Sunday afternoon a month.
Sunday Comix is hosted by Sequentially Speaking, an ongoing and evolving not-for-profit organization that seeks to encourage dialog about sequential art in the community through hosting gallery shows, public creative events and workshops for the artists, writers and readers of this unique literary medium.
Rather than go on and on about this great group, I think it would be better to let them speak for themselves by encouraging you to check out a few of the member's web sites. What better way to get a feel for the Sunday Comix community?
