RAPID FIRE NEWS debuts on the front page of Comic Related
January 17th - I get A LOT of press releases sent to me during any given 24 hour news cycle. Due to a limited number of hours in a day, I can't do full layouts for every announcement that crosses my desk. That seemed like a real shame to me. A couple weeks ago, I set out trying to do something about this putting effort into figuring out how to capture and share MORE NEWS through Comic Related.
At first I considered utilizing a blog where I could toss the content allowing the RSS feed to flow over onto the main page of site. It was a good initial idea, but it didn't really support the creator community we're working hard to grow through our site.
This morning, I abandoned that idea and went in a new direction. I've decided to ramp up and roll MORE CONTENT into our creator community forum!
Starting today, right alongside all the great conversation already taking place there, I've begun posting press release information and story pointers that don't necessarily make it into my main "Press Release and Breaking News" area. These news pointers and stories will be linked into the main page under our new "Rapid Fire News" header. Well also point out cool discussions taking place within the forum (marking these with "Topic"). This news feed will be updated on a regular basis throughout the day.
This does not replace our standing pledge to post 4-8 full stories every 24 hours. This is just a fresh new way in which we can quickly push MORE NEWS and crank MORE CONTENT into each 24 hour day.

If you don't already have us on your press release list and you promote a comic or sci-fi related product, please feel free to add chuck@comicrelated.com as we welcome ALL news. From your mom and pop operation doing comics on a photocopier to the big comic companies, we cover it all and welcome your update with open arms.
