The Down Side Goes Daily!

Erik Burnham and his web comic now available

 

February 24th - Most of us have a pattern to starting our day. For me it involves coffee and a few select comic related websites that I check at least once every twenty-four hours.

 

Since meeting Erik Burnham last month, his website www.burnhamania.com has been part of that morning pattern. I made it a particular point to stop by when he posted new installments of The Down Side three times a week. His strips are comic industry topical, honestly funny and a great way to start my day. Stopping by though, I was greedy... I wanted more. Three times a week just wasn't enough. To my complete grattitude, Erik has resolved my delima!

 

Starting tomorrow (February 25th, 2008), his series is going daily - that’s right, DAILY! The Down Side will be new Monday though Friday with one or two non-storyline, non-sequitur jokes on the weekends.   That’s six to seven days of content per week. Bliss!

Who is Erik Burnham? What's his story?

 

As he explains, he was born in the great state of confusion - er, Minnesota, and has long been attracted to the more creative things in life including art, writing, movies, music, comic books, and interpretive dance. He may well be lying about that last one.

 

A man of so many passions, sadly, has little time to properly tend to the whole lot… but he does find time to return to comic book creations that include Nick Landime (set to return in 2008) and The Down Side (which has just relaunched this week). The rest of his free time is co-opted with writing and/or art projects he can’t yet mention. His recent work in comics includes contributing to projects with IDW, Simmons Comics Group and Shooting Star Comics.
