Comic Related Steps Up To Support Indie Comic Coverage

Announcing A Six Episode Sponsorship of the Indie Spinner Rack Podcast

 

February 26th - I'm exceedingly pleased to announce that I've firmed up a six episode sponsorship with Charlito and Mr. Phil of Indie Spinner Rack podcast fame (indiespinnerrack.blogspot.com).

 

I see sponsoring this podcast as a small way in which Comic Related can show its support for small and independent comics and their creators. I'm equally thrilled that fans of the show might just stop by our site, add us to their press lists and help us increase the amount of indie coverage we share through the site. It's a direction in which I want to see the site grow.

 

At the same time, I decided sponsor their show because I really enjoy what they're doing. They approach small and independent comics with a humor and a knowledge that welcomes both the established indie reader and those who might be new to the creators discussed. These two hosts really do an outstanding job sharing often far too hidden comic treasures bringing those stories to a wider audience. I can personally say that they've led me to read a lot of really amazing comics.

 

Okay, getting past the introduction...

 

Let's jump into the cool news. Charlito shot me an e-mail over the weekend letting me know that they got Jeff Smith for an interview ... IN STUDIO!

Charlito explains, "It turns out he's a huge fan of ISR and wanted to do an in studio show and we ended up going for hours. He also gave us the first RASL interview."

 

Okay, that's big news but the truly exciting news which I'm pleased to announce is that Comic Related will be sponsoring the second half of that Jeff Smith interview!! Personally, I couldn't be happier as I have been a longtime fan of his work having followed Bone and been a regular visitor to his Boneville.com website almost from it's very earliest days.

 

Over the course of the next ten Indie Spinner Rack broadcasts, we'll be trading the limelight with DCMS (which in my opinion puts us in solid company). Here's the tentative sponsorship schedule by episode number...
