John Constantine with a Beat
Straight out of the DC Comics title Hellblazer comes the movie Constantine starring Keanu Reeves. The film is the latest comic adaptation to hit the big screen and coverage seems to be everywhere right now. I'm betting you've already seen a ton of on-line film reviews at this point. This column doesn't contain a review. Today we're going down a slightly different path and, yes it's true, we're presenting Constantine with a beat...
Constantine with a beat? Well, the commentary section this site is a place where we put interesting things that don't quite fit the mold of a review or news. Sometimes it's something I've stumbled across, sometimes it's my random thoughts and sometimes (though not very often) it's a music video. Today it's a music video.
I recently received an e-mail from the online marketing company Fanscape who're working to promote the band A Perfect Circle. The band is comprised of Billy Howerdel (guitar, pictured right), Maynard James Keenan (vocals), Josh Freese (drums), Jeordie White (bass guitar) and James Iha (guitar). The band was formed by Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan and former Tool guitar man Billy Howerdel. A Perfect Circle has becoming increasingly familiar with the comic-to-movie business as there's a Fantastic Four trailer out featuring their song Counting Bodies and a Constantine movie trailer which features more of their music (check it out here).
Andie from Fanscape shared the following via e-mail...
"I’m checking in with you to see if you’d possibly put up the A Perfect Circle video Passive (containing footage from the movie Constantine). The song will be featured in the movie. I thought the content would be of interest to the people who visit your site."
I tend to agree with Andie who has my thanks. For your enjoyment, here's A Perfect Circle performing Passive from the new Warner Brothers film, Constantine:
