Web Comics Arrive at Comic Related!
Original Content Begins on Free Comic Book Day, May 2nd, 2009!
This week we're working on a mix of updates here at Comic Related and it's far past time we share our first rollout of the week... Web Comics@Comic Related!
We are thrilled to announce that Comic Related is moving beyond simply reporting on the world of comics and taking its first step toward a companion venture publishing original content through the site.
Over the last few months we've been working hard to steadily ramp up the flow of content to the site. First, we unveiled an initiative sharing daily comic reviews covering the wide world of comics as we welcomed a mix of great new writers to the site. More recently, we expanded the podcasting arm of Comic Related to encompass three audio channels and daily podcasts sharing a mix of shows for you to choose from.
With today's announcement, we're moving into the next phase as we begin sharing weekly web comics through the site. That lineup will launch with four original series and quickly grow to include at least seven series, giving you original comic goodness 365 days a year.

Saturday's ... It's All Related - Imagine if Comic Related and all its vast family of creators, friends and content contributors worked at a single office. Now image if all the in-jokes and humor were captured, documented and shared in a weekly web comic. This is exactly what writers Brant Fowler and Darren Mueller plan to do and you'll see it all thanks to the artistic talents of Jackie Hernandez..
Tuesday's... Killer Robots Love You - Take your average apartment building, fill it with a wide cast of characters, add a beautiful female lead then introduce yourself to the killer robots that love her and you have the heart of this tech-centric romantic comedy. From our celebrated custodial ninja to the aging rock star just down the hall, no circuit board will be left unturned as writer Chuck Moore and artist Tony Miello show you what love really means in the digital age.
Thursday's... D34D L4$T - When a zombie outbreak sweeps across a small isolated town, it falls to the most unlikely of heroes to try and save the world... gamers. Using skills honed by hours of sitting in front of screens, these wi-fi warriors will try and save the day... without any extra lives. The video game world just got a little too real. Friday's ... I'm Not From Here - Kenn Minter's long running semi-autobiographical series moves to Comic Related, sharing new original strips from this very talented creator. Introspective, thought provoking and often humorous, we're pleased to welcome Kenn's wit, wisdom and wonder at the world around him, to Comic Related.
These four are just the beginning. We already know who's filling the rest of the week, but we're keeping that under our hat for now as there will be additional announcements to follow.
