In a recent SFX magazine poll, Serenity (the Firefly movie) beat out Star Wars for best Sci-fi movie.

I dont know what they were on, Serenity to my opinion was an allright movie but nothing can beat star wars and thats the bottom line, because Hellboy said so

Serenity was good , the Firefly series was better, and Star Wars will always be the king of Sci Fi.

I think it's just because of their relative ages. Watching Star Wars isn't much of an adventure anymore. You know what's going to happen during every second of the movie. It's still the best, but I think it tends to be taken for granted... and then there is the sour taste Episode 1-3 left in my mouth...

serenity was a cool movie but STAR WARS is the awsomest!

Oh, goodness, yesterday I was over at a neighbor's place and his son had A New Hope on the tv. The little boy, who is about 7 years old, had this look of bewilderment on his face when I told him that I had first seen the movie when I was 10.
