I know and I recommend it to people who never watched it Art. Me, I have all the seasons thus far on DVD. Yes, I like it that much.

Here are my thoughts on last night's episode (SPOILERS!):

http://youtu.be/SrNiifgGMTE

In brief, a great and very solid episode with a lot of emotional turning points. We also got some plot advancement, some subplot advancement, and got to meet some interesting throwaway characters. Overall, a very entertaining episode. Not the best they've done, but very good.

Olivia's experience with the bullet and the restoration of her faith allows her to once again save Peter from the brink of darkness. Looking back on the entire show, these two souls have been joined together since they first met as children and their love for each other is what will now save the world. When Wintermark, the chief observer tells Peter his emotions are his weakness, I'm screaming at the TV monitor. "Oh, yeah, you wait and see how those emotions bring you down!"

FRINGE is a stellar shining example what good writing is all about.

Video review coming this weekend. In short, for me, tonight's episode was another fine episode with emotional development and psychological consequences. There were also elements of it that furthered the main plot along and paid off episodes from earlier in this season and previous seasons. However, like last week, it was a slower episode with mainly a centralized character focus throughout. I feel like we've reached that middle point that is the calm before the storm. From the previews of next week's episode, it does appear that action is about to ramp up as we enter the home stretch. I'd wager to say that next week's will be the last episode of the year, leaving us with the final five episodes after the holidays. So I hope they leave it off on a high point.

And just to add, Walter's tripping, while not as good as the Broyles tripping episode, was again very creative and very entertaining.

Brant, I loved how they've gone back to find this strange child from that long ago episode....a loose end that now is proving to be a very strong element in the show's final story-line which is brilliant writing. I've my guesses who this child really is....and we'll see if it plays out in the end or not.

Amazing episode tonight, review coming tomorrow. But more emotional upheavals, and man, what a cliffhanger to leave it on for the holidays!

In three weeks we get the final three episodes. I can't wait, but at the same time I'm very sad to see it go. They promise all answers to be revealed, so I'm personally glad they got this extra half season to wrap things up and reveal everything. I just hope it lives up to expectations.

Olivia does indeed say, "We can reset time." in the trailer. And Brant, I'm with you. They are going to destroy the time-line that created the Observers so that they never existed...and the show will wrap with Peter & Olivia having their daughter back for a new, better future.

Oh, and if you hadn't heard, the final three shows will actually be TWO. Episode 11 is an hour show. Whereas the conclusion, wish wrapped shooting a week ago in Vancouver was announced as being a two-hour show. So if you count them as 11, 12 & 13, then 12 & 13 will be shown back to back as that big finale. Wahooo.

No, I hadn't realized that, actually. Well, that's both cool and sad. That means only two weeks left of Fringe when it returns, but at least we do get a 2-hour finale, which it certainly deserves.

Fringe returns next week, January 11th! Sadly, I'll be recording a podcast when it airs, but I'll definitely catch it later On Demand or something.

And then on January 18th it's the 2-hour Series Finale! I will NOT be missing that one!

Show was amazing for its emotional content. Next week will be mind-boggling.

Heh, watched it this morning before reading this thread, so nyah-nyah. lol

My review for this episode will be up either tonight or tomorrow on Dark Avenger INC. But yeah, it was another very emotionally powerful episode with a lot of explanation coming forth that played into the very beginning of the series.

If anyone quit this series after last season (Gladman, I'm talking to you!), you don't know what you're missing. They were given these 13 episodes to do what most shows never really do - answer all the questions and get a solid resolution. Can't wait for the two-hour finale next week!

Then I'll be without a favorite show... sad.gif

Brant, Bad Robot's PERSON OF INTEREST is filling that slot quite nicely for me. But keep an eye out on new shows coming. There's a few genre pilots that do look intriguing. Beside, ARROW comes back this week. Wahoo.

I do like Person of Interest and Arrow, but neither top or meet Fringe for me personally. I'm sure I'll eventually find another that takes its place, though.

Two-Hour finale was last night... I loved it, but it certainly wasn't without its flaws and unanswered questions. But overall, it's an ending I can live with and not be angry about. I don't feel at all like I wasted my time with this series.

A full, in depth review on Dark Avenger INC will be coming soon, but most likely later than usual as I want to watch it again and really go in depth with it. Plus we'll be doing our Fringe wrap-up episode on Zone 4 sometime down the road.

I was pleased, but still quite disappointed. I know that CBS was able to secure Leonard Nimoy for Big Bang Theory, so I was kind of hoping to see William Bell make one final appearance (even if it was a flash back); then there was the fact that the finale only satisfied this current season's story line (okay, maybe last season's as well) but left most of what we wanted to know from the earlier seasons unanswered (as with what Brant had said).

That said, it was nice that they were able to close it off with some dignity and be able to please us with resolution to the whole Walter/Peter relationship, even if it was done in a not-so-pleasing way (I am trying to remain spoiler free--so I hope that you know what I mean by that).
