Ha! Harold and I got our wires crossed on a couple of the characters. Too late for the pencils and inks, but never too late for color! Oops!

you know i should claim dibs on avatars...but i'm thinking of using something else anyway. smile.gif this Ross guy gets around doesn't he? Ron mentioned the broken glass piece...that's the cover for issue 5 of Fallen Justice. it's actually hanging on a wall in that issue, and it's also hanging on my wall here at home! the original piece, (meaning without the broken glass and frame will be available as a print in the RHS store next week, so if you want one of your own, that's the way to get it!

But see? It's totally different! Yours is a close-up. And mine is pulled back. See? That's totally different. I didn't copy anything!!!

Took a little break from Fallen Justice to color this one up. Harold and I are really starting to find our strides together, I think.

As I said on the Liefeld board, these pages are just awesome. I especially love the colors for that FJ promo.

Thanks guys!

This is the cover to issue #1 of The Wannabez from CR's own Brant Fowler and Scott Simmons. This promises to be a really fun read.

I'm getting ramped up on issue #6 of Fallen Justice, so I thought I'd toss a page up to see what people think. I'll post some more as I get further into it.

C&C's always appreciated.

Here is another page from the 6th issue. At this point the main character has totally lost it and is just taking guys out left and right.

This page was both a lot of fun to do and a pain in the ass. =)

Flashbacks! lol

lol well since i've already given my word that we will NEVER have a character return from the dead...that would be one of the most obvious ways of using them. but to be honest there was one guy that Ross and Harold conspired to pretty much force me to revisit...but i don't break my promise to never bring back the dead. so rest assured, it's cool!

also, just by way of some advice, never ever let your colorist and your artist put their heads together. it's crazy. smile.gif

I was hoping someone would notice that! I originally had intended for him to be holding up a mug-shot card, but got the idea after I couldn't find a good one on the internet. It cracked me up too. What you can't see at this resolution is that underneath it says "p.s. God Bless" biggrin.gif

Other things of note that amused (only) me:
1. Second row, third panel. On his medallion is my half-assed attempt to draw a big gold quarter, so that's a piss-poor George Washington.

2. Second row, fifth panel. I can't remember what you named him in the script, but I looked it up and it had something to do with a religious sect that divines knowledge from animal entrails. So the background is a Google image of entrails that I doctored up a little bit to help set the mood.

3. Third row, fourth panel. Come on! You named the guy Smashing Johnson and Harold drew his head like a big penis!!! How could I not color everything in flesh tones??? You'll also notice a small dark spot at the (dare I say it) tip of his head. And his shirt is *ahem* ....kind of hairy.

4. Fourth row, second panel. The character's name was Blitz, so you'll notice a decidedly football theme to her. With a 6-time! 6-time! 6-time! 6-time! 6-time! 6-time! Superbowl Champions Pittsburgh Steelers color scheme. Even her eyes are one black and one gold. She's also a Big Ben fan with a couple 7's on the tape under her eyes.

Ironically, I did all of that thinking and then totally missed that Harold misspelled "Villain" at the bottom of the page. Easy fix though.

actually, if you can remove the text on that page and just leave the blue wavy graphic i'll redo all that in letters. smile.gif

i gotta read that script again. lol Smashing Johnson. wait till you see the guy named "Hell Yeah!" lol my little tribute to 70s movies like Shaft etc. he cracks me up just seeing him. can't remember if he makes it tho...hehe that'd be telling!

This is the cover to the 7th and final issue if Fallen Justice. This has been a blast to work on, and I've grown and learned so much since we first started this thing. I've still got a long way to go, but I'm really proud of this book. I can't wait to put the cap on it. biggrin.gif

And this is a little promo bonus that I finished up over the weekend.
