Good stuff as always...Dave!
"Stay" was really cool...very decieving title and first couple of lines. I liked that a lot. A picture of the Gun God (his hand at least) will be going up in the Prodigy thread over in the Rabbit Hole some time tonight! -------------------- "Reality is only for those who lack imagination" don't know who first said that....but it works for me!

Thank you once again Bill! I should be posting a few more songs in the next couple of days.
I'm starting to run out of the more edgy hard rock stuff, and coming up to some of the more bluesy and alternative lyrics. But there's still a lot more to post. We should write another song through e-mails again. Heh- THAT was a blast my friend! Been meaning to e-mail. Lot to catch up on. Worked on Destroy All Rock-Stars a bit today. -------------------- |

Sounds good! Whenever you get to a part in the story that you want some "road tales" for just holler.
Bad weather forced me to cancel last Wedsnesday's recording session with Rick, but we should be back at it this week. I would love to work with you on another song! Have you made any more progress on "Eternity's End"? -------------------- "Reality is only for those who lack imagination" don't know who first said that....but it works for me!

Let me officially declare this the the arhar/gladman song collection section!
And to anyone who may have wandered in by here accident- please note that, like humanity, my humble art is but a work in progress. Eternity's End sample, short verse to chorus, part 1... Not the devil of your dreams, but all the same your in the league- Kings of Earth, no crown have ye, just a soul from birth, and a past between From the womb to the worm, all that's known, and unseen Eternity's End in me Ah, no more progress with Eternity, just a few lines like these, and this makeshift chorus. I like the way it's going, but I'm still trying to make the lyrics a worthy companion, something epic. Your mention of Bat Out Of Hell got me thinking that this could be a concept album. If so, the vision could be shared, or I could just go into it my own way. Whatever is preferred. We can always add in old stuff too. All I have to record on right now is cassette, but I'm going to figure a way to get a couple songs out to you soon. I'd like to sit in on the recordings from time to time if possible. Maybe we could work together on the spot. I'm working a lot on lyrics right now, trying to get in a groove. If anything new is created right now that's as well liked as The Killer Of The Fleshlings- I know it's a long shot- but it's automatically in. Thank you both for the inspiration to do my best. Your friendship is already making me a better writer. Send me your stories now Bill . I'm fighting with the Kill All script, and just hoping the songs might shake an idea or two loose! Dave BTW Any time you've got a song new song ready throw it my way, I'm ready to brainstorm with it Let the countdown begin? : ) -------------------- |

A concept album? I've never done anything like that...and I know Rick would be very interested!!!
Like what you did with Eternity's End so far....this track will more than likely be the title track. After reading your lyrics I came up with something that I thought would really sound good as an outro of sorts. As the light of day Fades away And darkness claims your soul Will you realize The End is just begining When all you see is red The voices in your head Are fighting for control At the End of time Will you find the beginning Of Eternity's End That would repeat in a loop...about three or four times with the guitar...just as the words Eternity's End are spoken it would start again.....fitting the nature of the song and the "concept" of the c.d. I see this song as the final track on the disc. I would love to have you meet Rick and sit in on a recording session....if you're ever coming up this way. Maybe we could do some work on the disc the weekend of the sketch card event and Gem City....you could crash at my place! I just got word not long ago that a good friend of mine who lives in New Jersey will be moving back to the area. He's an incredible vocalist and song writer as well. He used to sing for a band called So Be It...I'm pretty sure I can talk him into singing these songs for us and maybe helping out on the writing.....if you like the lyrics now...imagine the same feel we have going ....times three!!!! I'll send you some of his So Be It stuff. Killer of the flrshlings fits into the concept pretty good if it's okay to use that track...I know you wanted to save some of the stronger stuff for the DARS project.....so that's your call. Remnant would also work. (killer first track) I'll send you some input about past "road tales" within the next day or so. -------------------- "Reality is only for those who lack imagination" don't know who first said that....but it works for me!

Once again, I've added 3 new songs to http://thedoomedones.blogspot.com/
Ashes To Dust Bounty Without A Name Life Eternal I wrote Ashes in High School around 1988-1989. It was one of maybe 5 or 6 songs I've written in my life that I feel are elevation points; moments that I could feel my work evolve. It's no where near my oldest song, but it's the oldest song that stands among my best. -------------------- |
