Ooooo.....I had this one nailed. I almost mentioned age acceleration earlier but thought you guys would think I went off the deep end.

"We don't experiment on children."

But clones....that's a totally different subject.

Nice.

Only for more new episodes left (and one is an Inception rip off?).....that's okay I'll take it....but don't like the sound of only four more new episodes.

Please...let there be a season four.

Your wish was granted earlier this week when Fox announced it.

Surprised no one posted about it.

Bill, the baby is a "real" baby. It's growth was accelerated, that does not make it a clone. It is Peter and Faux-Olivia's flesh and blood...real son. And with Peter's genes, can probably work that earth-destroyer machine. Of course don't fret just yet, as I expected, the Bald Guys are watching it all go down.
Will they or won't they step in at the 11th hours. That's the big question here.
SEASON FOUR!!! Yahooo.

Ron-you really missed something here. The other Walter is not going to experiment on his "real" grandson that would make him a monster in his own eyes.......he' is going to clone the child using the blood sample that was aquired during the fake jundance test.

and Eric....didn't see the posting....came about this the old fashion way...by not sitting in front of websites and using my own imagination.

Bill, you are making an assumption with no facts to support it. All based on one little scene where someone hands off the baby's blood sample.
From that you get they are going to clone another baby. Pretty far stretch of the imagination here, don't you think? I saw the same exact scene and thought, much more simply, they were merely checking his blood to assure he does have Peter's DNA and can operate the world-destroying device. Seems lots more logical, as to date we've not seen any cloning evidence in this series.
You may be right. I do think one of is. wink.gif

hmmmm.....perhaps I am jumping to conclusions a bit. I mean if Walternate could clone this child....why hasn't already cloned Peter. I sure there was hair in a hairbrush or something that he could have used after Peter was abducted by evil Walter...I mean good Walter....wait a minute...which is the the one that does drugs and experiments on kids...that's right...the good Walter.

I was confused for a minute there.

Ron-I do want to thank you for convincing me to give this show a second try three years ago when I mentioned I wasn't too impressed with the pilot episode.

You should check out the first few posts of this thread way back on page #1....wow...how things changed for me while watching those first three episodes!

No one posed about here is what I meant Bill. Apparently for once Fox is pleased by a science fiction shows ratings on it's network. No one jinx it. tongue.gif

And yes, I'm still playing catch up. I do love what I've seen of Fringe so far though.

Wow...I'm still logged in? While I'm here....looks like every missed the Fox posting ...trailer..thingie...but I am glad to here that they may be happy in the show's ratings.

Not that I'm a ratings expert but I'm pretty picky about watch I watch and if I invest an hour in something...it better pay off with interest...Fringe does just that.

Bill, I'm truly happy you did give it a second chance. FRINGE is a class act and coming back for Season 4 only means I'm going to have as yet another boxed set to pick up sooner or later. As one I day I plan on re-watching all of it from start to finish. Something I'm now currently doing with
Babylon 5.

Fringe returns....and for the most part I'm glad. Got to admit I wasn't a huge fan of last night's episode. Glad to see Liv back....but I forgot this was the "Inception" rip off episode and to be honest I think that aspect of the show fell rather flat.

I was caught off guard by the animation sequences which I didn't like at first but ended up getting into. Especially after it came down to just Bell and Peter looking for Liv.... enjoyed the interaction between those two characters and I liked how they drew William Bell and thought Nimoy got into the voice overs more than anybody else.

Peter and Broyles tripping on LSD was pretty funny.

Yeah, the LSD trips were funny, and while I was at first put off by the animation as well, I did think it was a clever way of getting Nimoy on the show without having him on, much like Liv's "possession."

The Inception bit was a bit too blatant rip off, yeah. It was a Smallville trick, and one that just didn't fit well in Fringe for me.

Decent episode overall, but that last line took me for a loop. A, how would she know that, B, am I the only one who thinks her calmness in announcing that is a little off and disconcerting where her character is concerned? Makes me wonder just how much Bell changed her now that she's faced her fears.

I'm not even 100% sure Bell really "is" gone. The Inception bit was almost more than blatant rip off, it was almost an insult, and the animation was done poorly in my honest opinion. It was cheaply rotoscoped and then it looks like it was shaded with a photoshop filter.

Haha! I caught up! The last episode I thought was by far the worst of Fringe I have ever seen and it was all because of the animation. I got it being in her mind and I know about Nimoy not wanting to act anymore, but that should have been a sign of getting him off the show. The animation was by far some of the worst I have ever seen. Matter of fact last time I saw something that bad I was singing "I want my MTV" Yeah you know what I mean.

Overall a let down, but I liked the ending as usual. I just hope I never see that again.

Realized tonight that while I'd been in Chicago since last Thursday, I'd missed the return of FRINGE. Got on line and watched it immediately.
Yahooo!!! Dan, the animation may not have been up to par with lots of things...but the one thing is allowed, was for them to use a FREAKIN' ZEPPELIN!!! Sky Captain Ron gives this show major thumbs up. Yahoo. So glad I was able to catch it.
And that last line of Olivia's was pure FRINGE.

Yesterday work was brutal....doing inventory all day....very boring stuff that took about three times longer than what it was supposed to have taken. So Watching Fringe last night....I wasn't really into the show. I was literally falling asleep on the commercials and my wife had to nudge each time the show came back on.

Seems I was a little bit right.....Walternate wanted more out of the blood sample other than confirmation it was Peter's baby...he did need Peter's DNA to turn on the machine. He just didn't create a clone...which with all the other stuff going on in this show would not been hard to do....and considering how they had to replicate the cells in the blood sample to get as much of Peter's DNA that they did have on hand....they already went the first step.

But....overall....I just wasn't able to get into this episode. I'll blame it on the mental exhaustion. I turned the television off and headed straight to bed as soon as they played the trailer for what looked to be another luke warm episode for next week's show.

Has Fringe jumped the shark?

I know one thing....I don't like Liv when everything in her life is good. The character is strongest when she is embroiled in mayhem and turmoil....I'm already tired of seeing her waking up next to Peter with that smile on her face.....it's like how I think Steven Tyler and Dave Mustaine ...and Alice Cooper write better lyrics and makes better music when their lives are all screwed up.

As I was stumbling my way into the bedroom a thought occurred to me...I've felt this way before....

Cast getting too large
Actors who were once very strong now just going through the motions
The "Big Story" getting stretched so far and thin it's starting to lose it's way....

My God....this show is on the verge of becoming Heroes...........

Hopefully not the case.
