Once a year, come hell or high water, Rob Davis and yours truly pack our bags and head for the wonderful state of Ohio, specifically Columbus, which is the home of Pulp Fest. This year's show looks to be a winner and two times bigger and more fun than the previous past few years. What I personally love about doing this show is the opportunity to hook up with lots of my CR family, as many of you live in Ohio and Kentucky and the drive to Columbus is relatively easy.
So please, Bill, Chad, Dustin, Charles and the rest of you, if you're giving any thought, do so please.

The show runs from the 9th to 12th of August. Google it on-line to get directions. They are going to be in a newer venue this year. As for Airship 27 Productions, we've half a dozen new titles to show off that we've produced since the start of the year, none more exciting than our new Captain Action novel, "Riddle of the Glowing Men," as written by Jim Beard. It features a Nick Runge cover and Rob provided the ten black and white interior illustrations. This is the very first time Captain Action has been adapted to prose in this fashion and we expect the demand for the book, from comics, toys and pulp collectors all is going to be huge.

We are going to have a limited number available at the show and...jot this down...Jim Beard WILL be at the Airship 27 table at 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning to autograph copies of the book...while they last. All who pick up a copy will be entered into a drawing for one of two cover posters, which Jim will also autograph for the luck winners.

So make your plans now, CR amigos, and we'll see you in Columbus. Wahoooo!

Thanks, Larry. Oh, and did I mention some guy named Mark Schultz is going to be there as well. Now where have I heard that name before...something to do with dinosaurs and Cadillacs I think. wink.gif

If I can find a way to loosen the purse strings I'll be there.

Sadly, Ron, I won't be able to make it this year. We have a family vacation and we leave on Thursday. Good luck at the show and I'll be there in spirit.

Sorry I won't be able to attend this year either, Ron. I have to work Saturday and I have a meeting scheduled Sunday with a local band I will be working with on another project.

Both Victor Dandridge and Chris Mitzer, from the Ohio Comic Related family were great to make the trip to Pulp Fest and say hi. Was a real joy to hook up with these two amigos. Chris stayed with us all day to going out for burgers with us after the show...and he's doing the cover to Ron Fortier's Tales of the Macabre #4 that is just blood amazing.
