We're off and running on Season 4. Peter is caught in some kind of limbo, erased...but not totally, whereas the Bald Headed man has been told to finish the job...and somehow can't complete his mission. Meanwhile new shape changers have arrived in our world and our Olivia believes they are coming over from the other side. Things will get freaky. Oh yeah. Apparently the ratings were not strong. Hope it keeps going though. It has a great fan following, and deserves to keep going. Says alot though, in these sad times, that shows like Jersey Shore can keep going and going, no matter how stupid one feels while watching the trailers, never mind watchind the actual show. |

Not overly concerned with the ratings. I think this will indeed be the last season of the show no matter what, and even if worse comes to worse I think long time fans like myself will be able to pick up the complete fourth season on d.v.d even if the show meets an early demise (and just because it's a FOX show....doesn't mean it gets no support from the network....they have supported this show three years longer than other shows fanboys have complained about ending too soon)
Just got in from work and I'm planning to watch this and Person Of Interest....but possibly after reading Captain America #3 and Daredevil #4....and then a nap. Maybe the nap comes first...... -------------------- "Reality is only for those who lack imagination" don't know who first said that....but it works for me!

Alright...after watching this I have to say I thought the long wait for the start of season four was well worth it. Good show. Not the best the series has offered to date but a solid start to the fourth season.
Walter was great as usual, and I liked seeing Liv pick up a new case partner in Agent Lee now that Peter only pops up in reflective objects. But I didn't care for the fact that in an effort to up play Lee's investigation skills and attention to detail came at the price of Olivia's same skills were watered down. C'Mon...she would have noticed that girl on the bench immediately, Lee would have never had to point her out to Liv. So we have a new version of the shape changers running around....and them being produced by Walternate is not the case, I'm sure of that. Way too easy. Is there a third alternate universe? I hope not, but that was what I thought of right away. I know Ron is going to hate me for this next comment but the only bad thing about a new season of Fringe is just when I'm starting to get fully addicted to it once again......here comes a week or two hiatus brought on by the World Series. -------------------- "Reality is only for those who lack imagination" don't know who first said that....but it works for me!

The only reason to have a World Series hiatus would be if the Red Sox were in it. As its most likely they will not be, I'm with you Bill.
HOW DARE THEY POSTPONE FRINGE FOR THE WORLD SERIES!!! |

It's the little things that make this show so enjoyable and addictive. It also makes trying new shows very difficult when this is the benchmark of which you judge things.
Details. I love details. The different body language of the two Livs. And I most say the other Liv's body language says a lot....seeing the two of them work together was incredible and once again the acting here is the key. The two Kennedys....I mean Lincolns or is that just one Lincoln and one Lee? Holy Deep Deep Cover Batman!!! 99 cents gas! The reverse switch...played to perfection....at the gas station. The haunting of Walter Bishop A "tribute" to those old "is it real or is it Memorex" commercials And my new favorite episode since the Frankenstein Ballerina!!!!!!!!!!!!! -------------------- "Reality is only for those who lack imagination" don't know who first said that....but it works for me!

You beat me to it tonight, amigo. A really great episode with a bitter sweet ending. I'm really empathizing with poor Walter here. Am really curious how they are going to resolve the "lost" Peter element. And again, an advanced heads up, the gang at Zone 4 is planning a brand new All Fringe episode in a few months with a really special guest. You heard here first, CR amigos.

Yeah, for all the reasons Bill said, this was a great episode. Though there is one thing that does bug me. Everytime someone sees the two Livs they're like shocked or stunned... why wouldn't they logically just think they're twins, at least at first? That's the only hiccup here for me. Otherwise, a stellar episode.

That's a very good point Goose.
I would love to have a set of Liv twins. -------------------- "Reality is only for those who lack imagination" don't know who first said that....but it works for me!

Another great episode....even though this one was one of those shows where the actual case was background while the developing plotline kept me on the edge of my seat.
Walter's actions at the end of the show was so.....wow....I don't have a real working adjective here. It almost made me sick to mt stomach. And Olivia is being haunted as well....nice. -------------------- "Reality is only for those who lack imagination" don't know who first said that....but it works for me!

And was that a Micronaut Aaron was playing with? I believe it was...so Peter's favorite toy as a kid were The Micronauts...that's pretty cool.
And J.J.Abrams is supposed to be directing a live action Micronauts movie..... Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. -------------------- "Reality is only for those who lack imagination" don't know who first said that....but it works for me!

Saw it this afternoon and I thought that was a Boba Fett figure? Could be wrong, these old eyes ain't what they use to be. The spore thing was creepy..especially when it blew. Getting closer and closer to Peter's return. Oh yeah.

You're both wrong, I paused it, and it was a G.I. Joe figure, Roadblock to be exact, the original version.
Yeah, Walter's extreme measures... wow. And When Liv was searching the facial recognition software I had a feeling that's where that was going, so I'm glad to see I was right. Another great episode all around. I love this show. -------------------- |

Another great episode of Fringe this week as we discover that a lot has changed with Peter not existing. Like a lot of Walter's past not revealed until now. We meet another kid from the trials Walter did, and we finally see a familiar face come back, but not to the world they knew.
I loved how this one came together, and seeing Walter's and Olivia's relationship here, which is even stronger than their previous one with Peter existing, was really touching. Seeing Walter break down a few times was also very well done. This cast continues to impress me with their acting skills. Can't wait to see where things go from here with the way this episode ended. -------------------- |

Agreed on all fronts, Brant. Wouldn't have been such a loyal fan had it not been for the stellar acting each week. So now Peter's back....but how has the slate been wiped clean...especially with the bridge between both parallel worlds still intact?

Well, I mean Olivia had no idea who he was, so it would seem, at least for now, that he has entered into this time stream without affecting it. I'm sure that's not the case, and at some point it will all fall apart. I mean the other watchers hinted at it being bad for Peter to exist, so I guess we'll wait on pins and needles to see!
