Friday Sept. 10th

Local disc golf vendor Sam Matthews prepares for the 2011 Champion City Disc Golf Tournament

This year's disc golf crew.....Tim Hagans, Gary Church, Kevin Adkins, Levi Medenhall, and myself. Tim would win it all and for the SECOND time in two years I come in SECOND place.....the Buffalo Bills curse continues.

My oldest grand-daughter....Payton....joins us for the pre-con dinner at Tumbleweed.

Scott Riley ready to order.

Dustin Carson (far left) and Robin Humer (far right).....writer and artist of "Butterfly Girl" the feature story in Pandemonium Spotlight #3 which debuted at Champion City and was the best selling book of the day for Twilight Star Studios.

Dustin also won this year's Champion City Poker Tournament, taking the title from his brother Brian who won it all last year.

Wade Kiger performs at the pre-con party.

Saturday Sept. 10th

The "real" Brit and Ivy.....Joe Pruitt's wicked cool daughters.

Matt Smith getting ready to fire up "Comic Book Jeopardy"....and later Chad Strohl would fire up fellow contestants Jesse Noble and Andy McGinn...watch for the video of the complete game coming soon from U.V.N.

Comic creator Mike Watson "finally" receives his RaynMan Power Hour Hall of Fame award....ironically the same day Frank and I learn the show will be canceled.

Raichal and Brandon the creative team of the upcoming Twilight Star series...The Anti-Humans

Dustin Carson and Chad Strohl

Marc Sumerak

Tim Seeley and Daniel Leister

Price For The Asking:Yesterday's Burning artist Brain Latimer. Brian's original art for the cover of Price For The Asking #1 along with the original art for the last three pages of that same book was one of the most sought after items of this year's charity auction.

Robin Humer and writer Dan Melnick

Victor Dandridge and his U-Cre-8 panel

Rodney Fyke

Catwoman (Katie) and Black Canary (Violet)

Yep...for just 50 bucks you could own your very own Frank Raynor!

Tim. Lainey, Chad , and Stacy Gaston at the Twilight Star table. Champion City 2010 was the most successful Twilight Star event....until this year. We kicked that record soundly to the curb at this show with the help of Pandemonium Spotlight #3, Did Somebody Call For A Hero: Hero Of The Day (2nd printing-which sold out)), Tales From The 'Field #2 (2nd printing), Pandemonium Spotlight #1, and new prints featuring cover art from Pandemonium Spotlight #3, Hero Of The Day, and Twilight Star Annual #1. We also sold out of the new Twilight Star t-shirts. (those things never make through a show)

That's me drumming up business for the show......

Punisher #1 with sketch cover art provided by Twilight Star artist Dan Matthews.....Bill Thade of Fearless Readers. com out bid everybody at the auction to make sure he went home with this collectible.

Tim and his brother Sam hanging out with Joe Pruitt at the after party.

Ellie and Frank hanging out on my big comfy couch at the after party.

Scott checking out the band....or at least that's what I think he was checking out. You can never tell with that guy.

Kevin and Ellie enjoying the music provided by the band Nine Volt...

Nine Volt brings the Champion City weekend to a close with a much requested encore!
