So it's personal opinion and not financial fact?

I mean if you look at it, the Fantastic Four movies, both of them made over 100 million. Not to mention Chris Evans and Michael Chiklas are spot on in their respected roles.

And are you sure you're not confusing TMNT with Turtles lost in time which was the movie teaming 3 different teams of turtles together? Because the movie and the animation were strong, almost at incredibles/Shrek levels.

Losers lost money, and was not a hit. That is financial fact. Fantastic Four made money, yes, but Rise of the Silver Surfer made about 1 or 2 million more than it cost to make it, It cost 130 million, and made 131-132 mill. Its the reason MArvel are going for a reboot. That there was no 3rd movie I think speaks volumes. While Michael Chiklis as Thing was good, altho terribly written, Johnny was TOO cocky. He should have restrained it somewhat. The story leaves alot to be desired. I mean, Thing was always about seeking a cure to his transformation, but with the easy cure, the film removed that pathos. Goes without saying Alba was awful(when is she not?), Julian McMahon was under develloped as Doom, and even tho people may not think he was the best choice, I actually like Ioan Gruffudd as Mr Fantastic. Only problem was he was in alot of scenes with Alba, with Michael Chiklis and others, he was a more interesting Reed. His age went against him, however. Reed is meant to be significantly older than Sue.

No, I am speaking of TMNT, which I did enjoy, but the animation was not that great. It felt very straight to DVD animation, and not theatre movie quality animation. There were some really high quality action sequences, however, and the animation during these moments were really amazing, as was the choreography. I question some of the character designs. The turtles looked good, but April and alot of the human characters looked off. Some of the plot elements did not fit with the characters, tho.

What was the Turtles in Time movie? I know there was a game, but never heard of the movie.

I don't want to sound like I am getting aggressive about my opinion, I certainly am not

Let's not mince words here CR amigos. I liked both Fantastic Four movies and thought the actors cast were perfect for the roles. They were the FF to me,
who started reading those comics with issue # 1 back in 1960.

On Evans, I actually really liked both Fantastic Four movies, The Losers and Scott Pilgrim. And while we're at it, though not an actual comic movie, Push was pretty good too. So no, it has nothing to do with his acting. He's got the chops and range to pull off Cap for sure. And he was spot on as the Human Torch as Cary said, you couldn't get a better portrayal of that character or Ben Grimm/Thing in my opinion. I really don't understand why the FF movies are so railed on, because they were the best FF I've seen in a long, long, long time! Take that, Jonathan Hickman!!! lol

Can't speak on Green Hornet from a personal perspective as I've not seen it, nor do I plan to. While I did enjoy one Rogen film, I'm not a fan of the actor, nor do I think he can act, nor do I think he's funny at all. I think he's a bit arrogant, therefore casting himself in the lead role of a film he co-wrote, but I don't think the role was deserved. And while the movie very well may be decent as a stand alone, forgetting that it's tied to the comic or TV show, as maybe it should be seen, I still can't get over the fact that they turned a very good and serious pulpy story into a parody with college humor. It's an insult and a slap in the face. If they want to make a parody film, do it with characters not beloved by many, like they did with that Drake Bell movie mocking Spider-Man.

From what I saw of the trailers, it feels too much like a Kevin Smith written Green Hornet movie, catering to his Jay and Silent Bob fans. The guy I feel really bad for is Jay Chou. He is a talent, but he is being scuppered by Rogen. Chou is growing as an actor, and is obviously working on his weaknesses. When one sees him in different projects, he has grown more and more. Rogen never grows as an actor. He is of the same pool as Kevin Smith, somone who just does the same thing over, and over again, While referencing Star Wars.

Don't forget to add "and gets paid!" to that statement.

Even the Green Hornet doesn't like the new movie. Courtesy of The Gutters.

God I'm going to derail this thread even further. That is not even remotely true. I can understand disliking the way his characters talk in each movie and the only character that are the same in each one are Jay and Silent bob but Kevin Smith does not do the same thing in each movie as a director or a writer.

Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma, Chasing Amy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike back, Clerks 2, Jersey Girl....these are all incredibly different movies.

You watch the original Clerks and then Watch Clerks 2....they are completely different movies.

Sure each of his movies is filled with pop culture but if you watch Chasing Amy or Dogma and go"this is the same thing" then I have no idea what your watching.

FF2 MADE money and was a good flick...it was the amount of money it made compared to the first film which ended that franchise.....

Losers was a good film as well...very under-rated.

I like everything Kevin Smith has done EXCEPT that one stupid movie that had Seth Rogen in it.
