Hadn't heard about this, but I'll probably check it out. With all its flaws, I liked Kevin Smith's Comic Book Men, and because this takes place at Midtown it has me curious.

That said, I wasn't crazy about the description at that link until I realized it was an embellished self-deprecating description by TheOuthousers as opposed to the official solicitation. heh

This appears to be the official write-up:

On Friday, July13th at 8pm (ET, PT) the National Geographic cable channel will present Comic Store Heroes, a one-hour reality show set in New York’s Midtown Comics. The documentary-style show will follow the lives of staffers Gerry, Thor, and Alex as they deal with all sorts of geek and enthusiast customers while simultaneously planning their booth at the New York Comic Con.

Can these pop culture mavens answer the pointed and detailed questions of their comic-centric clientele and still manage to produce a major presence at their largest hometown comics-oriented event? Tune in on July 13th and find out.

Yeah the new news edict over the outhouse is focused towards an onionesque comedic take on the news, instead of a straight forward posting of press releases. laugh.gif

Heh, and that's fine and well. I just at first thought that was the official text and took it offensively. lol
