Both because I've been wanting to write about wrestling, and out of procrastination when I should be working, I've started to revive my occasional wrestling blog, Kayfabe with a post of random recent thoughts:

Dude- if you do a wrestling podcast, you have to let me be an occasional guest- that would be too much fun.

What do you think of the bound for glory round robin series?
Do you watch ROH or JCW? Do you go to indie wrestling shows?
Check out IVPvideos...
I gave up watching much WWE. for a long time. It insulted my intellect. I liked Punk when he wrestled in dayton.
ROH is doing a tv taping in Louisville soon I'm a wrestling history buff yoo.

I haven't watched a lot of ROH just because I haven't sought it out. I haven't watched JCW, is any of it on YouTube? I do watch TNA, though for the life of me I don't know why anymore. Mainly to catch the rare X Division matches and AJ Styles stuff I guess.

WWE has gotten good with CM Punk and Cena doing a lot of shoot stuff. The rest of it is just okay, nothing stellar like the late 90s. I doubt it will ever be that good or engaging again.

I have been to a couple of indie shows, but it's been a long time. I have missed WWE every time they've come to Lexington sadly either because I didn't know about it or couldn't afford it at the time.

Been watching wrestling consistently since I was 6 years old from CWA to AWA to WCCW, USWA, NWA, UWF, WCW, TNA, WWE, ECW, etc.

Now that ROH is getting a cable show I hope to catch it if the network airs here (I'm in Winchester). I have liked some people coming out of ROH I've seen in TNA from time to time.

JCW is owned nd ran by the Insane Clown Posse--the rap duo. THeir shows are awesome and are packed. They did the big legends show at the Gathering. Their product has a lot of hardcore elements. They also havve goofy stuff too. They are the best self-made rapper/wrestlers/ entrepenuers out there (pun intended).Ebay has them at times. JCWIII frum columbus, ohio is thei live show I attemded. Their show
Stranglemania is a parody/ homage/satiric commentary of Japanesse blood matches of different types. Ebay usually has lots of these.

ROH will air their episodes on stations in the Sinclair Broadcasting network/system out of Baltimore, Md. If you are a fan of dynamite kid-- their champion-- Davey Richards is one tough SOB. I would rate him as the best wrestler in the world today...bar none. Jim Coronett is executive producing their television. Check out the Sinclar website to see if they have staions in your area. Do you see Derby City wrestling or OVW?

IVPvideos is the place to go for japanesse, old territorial, and foriegn videos at $3 a disc. old and new wrestlers, legends that are now gone, and special shows.Calgary, Portland, St. Louis, Memphis, Germany Austria, UK, Puerto Rico...Bruser Brody, Dusty Rhodes, Steamboat, Dr. Death, Murdoch, Curryman/Chistopher Daniels,Amazing red, Roh in Japan, team 3-D, the Road warriors , the Brisccoe Bros. and more and the Super junior tournament that joined eight belts with the worlds best junior hvvywts at the time.....

Colt Cabana- former NWA World Champion has a podcats at The Art of Wrestling, archived.,, NWA Hollywood has episodes archived.

I probably overloaded you already overfilled plate, sorry. Maybe you could go to a ROH show live. Davis arena in Louisville will host their taping. if not Dayton in November.

RING OF HONOR wRESTLING - ROH hits the airwaves starting tomorrow in select markets via Sinclair Broadcasting Systems. It will be the first new Pro Wrestling syndication on broadcast televion in ages. WWE is sports entertainment not real rasslin. The ROH website has listings of times and days and stations. If you can't get it in your area, the website will stream whole episodes by mid-week. Set your timers if you have to do it!

These are the best up and comers. Be prepared to learn a little about ROH,too.

There is a free audio interveiw with the LOUISVILLE SLUGGER--jIM CORONETTE on PWInsider.com. A 50 min interveiw......

As I didn't see, nor have any intention of see the new Ape movie (sorry...but honestly...enoughs enough, please). Plus as I've said all along, this must be an alternate Earth, as there is no way that many primates left in civilized locales never mind the limited wild lands anymore. I'd been more inclined to believe RISE OF THE SQUIRRELS.

That being the case, NUMBER ONE MOVIE OF 2011....no contest, CAPTAIN AMERICA - First Avenger. It was so well made and now gives hope that the Avengers movies is so going to rock. Bring on 2012, cinema lovers.

I'm confused why you posted this in the wrestling blog thread, Ron, but thanks for the feedback all the same. haha.

And honestly I think you'd enjoy this Apes movie, it's a completely different film. And if you saw the film you'd totally understand why there are so many apes. wink.gif

What Zack and Ziggler did in their feud alone this year was proof that the WWE still has talent in it. Even getting Hugh Jackman involved was a lot of fun. A highlight of the year for sure and we can safely say Zack will have a mania match this year.

Punk really saved the WWE this year too, no matter what others say.

And the fact that the belts are where they are right now on the people they are on is awesome for that company.

I really hope we get the Golddust/Cody match at Mania too along with other things.

Here are my thoughts on this week's Raw:

Eric, I agree with everything you said. I just hope they realize that and keep pushing those guys.

Jericho on RAW was to p.o. the veiwers and audience. He was full of himself. Actions speak louder than words? The blackout served to get Kane under the ring. I look for Punk and Laurenitis at Wrestlemania. He could sit at ringside for the Rumble. The last competitor does not come out. He gets up in the ring ready to award the RR win but clotheslines the last man standing to the floor and gets the main event at Wrestlemania for the championship without winning a single match in WWE. It would be a great swerve.
