Now I can see them.
(Thank God, I thought I was going mental. ohmy.gif )

Awesome stuff.

Yeah, I know what you mean about web hosts, photobucket can be the same in terms of how much it lets one show.

Thank you sir.

I need to contact my webhost to find out what's going on. This is a bit inconvenient.

And here's a Ms. Marvel pic someone requested:

Took some liberties with her old and newer costumes. Kept the belly opening from the classic look. Modified the old boots to be thigh highs. :3

Sorry.

My webhost is acting funky lately. sad.gif

I see all the images fine myself, and on that note they are not to bad, keep up the good work.

Thanks.

Trying to keep the ball rolling. It's the only way to get better at this.

Went to a Dr. Sketchy figure drawing session tonight.

I'll try to see if they can e-mail me a better copy of the image, I gave it to the model; but here she is holding it:

It was fun to end on a high because I kept choking on her Wonder Woman costume sketches. Plus I stopped pretending I knew what I was doing with pencil, charcoal, and other more subtle media and just went whole hog with my pens and copic markers.

Trying to work from reference. . .

Also trying to incorporate color, which is never a good idea for a partially color blind person. tongue.gif

Thanks.

Went to the local Drink & Draw gathering tonight for the first time. It was super awesome! I'll finish these up soon enough:

Also contributed to a jam piece which I will link to once they post it online.

Thanks Ron.

Sorry been laying low. New boss. New schedule. More stress.

Last night was the local Drink & Draw and after a couple of weeks of not creating I just went ahead and had some fun. I need more positive energy in my life.

Wanted to whip up a Ghost Rider and play with my watercolors. End result isn't the greatest, but not hugely off the mark. About 90 minutes:

I need to learn to mix colors on the fly. I wanted more black on the page, but time didn't allow for figuring it out on the fly.

Next up they had a contest to see who could draw the "best" Rob Liefield style illustration.

I won.

But does anybody ever win in a Rob Liefield draw-off? unsure.gif

On the upside it sent me packing with a copy of Tor Vol.1 from Joe Kubert. biggrin.gif

It was Jack Kirby's birthday yesterday. Cranked this out at work. Finished it up 20 minutes ago.

Trying to get my bearings with water colors.

Trying out as a freelancer working for a local coloring book company. Now I'm up to my ears in dinosaurs:

The public library and Netflix have been absolutely fabulous for research / reference materials!

Thanks Art.

Wrapped up the first work order this weekend.

Stupid obvious pro-tip for freelancers - Do not procrastinate! Even if no dates are specified on when the job is due, get to work the day you receive the call. Better to have a leg up, than leave your behind out in wind. In this case I dawdled for a week, then received a call the second week saying, "we need X quantity of illustrations by this date" because of vendor and publisher demands.

I'm not sure if I can disclose the publisher info as I was sort of kissed into the company by word of mouth. Sort of a "We'll contact you" thing.

What I can say, is never discount the connections you can make at your local comic shop.

Now I need to look into creating an invoice for services rendered.

The Pitt and Hellboy piece rocks. The only thing I think it needs is a trenchcoat on Hellboy, to give som action to Hellboy also, and guide the eye.
