Like I said over on facebook, it's always nice to know that people are enjoying the show at least as much as the girls and I do. The intros... oh my, you have no idea how many times I've thought about giving those up and how much work they sometimes take.... or maybe you do, I can't count the number of times I've said an intro was fighting me on facebook. lol I'm glad that people appreciate them.

I'm sorry to see you go and wish you all the luck in the world, even though I wish you'd change your mind.

Gordon and I are starting the line to firmly plant our lips on Robert's buttocks. Gordon, do you want left or right cheek? wink.gif

I know the pain of the intros only because I've been the sounding board you got to bounce off of, several times. tongue.gif

My only concern about the changes are that we keep the site relatively free of focusing on Horses and Nicholas Cage in any form of media. We must continue to uphold standards and traditions!!

Well, there goes my proposal for the "We Love Horses & Nick Cage" column at Comic Related...smile.gif

Sapph - you get first choice. smile.gif

Eric & Russell - although I'm sad to see you both go, I have to also say....go for it.

At the risk of sounding like a columnist smile.gif, I have the utmost admiration for people who look towards the future, realize they
need to make some drastic change...and do it. Chuck's done it, and I admire the two of you for being willing to move forward.

Russell - drop me a line when the graphic novel comes out; I'll read it and post on the blog. Also let me know if I can help.

Eric - ditto. In fact, I'm working on something Zone 4-related which I think you'll like. But that will be awhile. smile.gif

Trust me - did the whole breaking-out-onto-my-own. My professional (non-comics) career has been filled with starting things
up and letting them go. Although I'm sad to see them go, I'm also proud that Russell and Eric are taking some larger personal
chances.

Thanks again. I'll miss you guys.

You will still post here, right?

I mean, are people going to leave CR now with the change of management?

I mean, yes, the management is changing, but Robert is no Yoko...he's not gonna break up the band, right?

Comic Related always has, and always will support the community aspect of being comic creators. That is not going to change.

Right now, Bob is getting things organized, and resettled. Chuck had his way of doing things, and as he has to step away from the reigns, there is a LOT for Bob to do. Don't forget, aside from running CR now, Bob is also the mastermind behind Sketch Magazine, Blue Line Pro, as well as having his own comic studio.

Bob is making changes to CR, both to make sure it is a viable business entity, but also, he has to make sure he can handle everything coming across his plate. The front page of the site is about news. Big, small, everything in between. The shift of the webcomics to a different section was probably not worded as well as it could have been (be forgiving, there's a LOT going on in the background right now.)

I can assure you though, behind the scenes there is a lot of work going on, to make improvements for the community. They just ask everyone to be patient and bare with them while they get a grip on things.

I'm sticking around, if that matters. CR is my community place to hang out, after all. It's still a cool place to be...

I'm puzzled why anybody would leave...if they listened to the last Related Re-Cap. Sounds like Bob has a great plan for the site.

True....I was considering doing the same thing, but that was before several things were cleared up. I think the choices being made about podcasts and webcomics make sense....now.

But I also know different people take things differently and I can't say I think what (Eric and Russell...the only two that I know of that are leaving)....are doing is right or wrong.

Actually it's totally up to them. But believe it or not....I'm gonna miss Eric.

Russell too....but I interacted (and argued) with Eric a lot.

Aint that just the way life is. The people we argue with the most seem to be the ones we miss the most, or worry aboutt the most when they find themselves in a difficult situation, be it financial or something else, or move away.

Flipping hate that.

Seems a little premature to bag out and leave regardless of having heard the podcast in question. What's really changed? Not much as far as i can see. It seems like hurt feelings are taking over more than anything else. Fact is Bob seems intent upon running the site as a business and as such changes were always in the offing. Change is good folks, it keeps things fresh.

Actually....you weren't very clear in the matter. I think you should have clarified where you stood in regards of participating in the forums in the future....

Just bustin' your chops as usual and still very glad to be be able to do that.

Glad to see you'll be hanging around the boards.....a family ain't a family unless there's a little brother to pick on.

To our knowledge, Eric and Russ are the only ones who have decided to pull the rest of their content from the site. Glad to hear Eric will at least be sticking around, wouldn't be the same around here without him. We wish them both well in their new home for their content, though.

I actually plan to start a new column here on the CR site called "Why Bill Loves Comics"

Just kidding.

Even before the "big news" I was considering bringing back the column that brought me to CR in the first place....and I think that's going to happen. I already have about five topics I'd like to cover.

I hope the new powers that be will allow the LIFC column to come home and be posted on Fridays....not every Friday....but at least one Friday a month is the goal for now.
