This is actually a pretty decent 90's comic. Deathstroke is doing his face turn, an anti-hero assassin/bodyguard, best in the biz, etc. His handler teams him up with a bunc of kids to get a Macguffin from some bald dude. We never see the MacGuffin, ala PUlp Fiction, but apparently it's a "message" to Deathstroke.

Better than Blackhawks, but still stuck in the past.

Deathstroke #2 is more '90s comics, as Slade tries to find out who sent him on the mission of last issue.

This leads to many gruesome deaths, and introduces some assassin dude named Road Rage, who actually has some appeal. I think he survives the issue.

This was my most anticipated of the New 52...and the most disappointing. Just...just horrible. This character could be a m a z i n g, but not until they get a better team than this on the book. Horrible script. /nerdcry

#3 has Deathstroke pursued by hitmen, while getting his job done. A little of his raison d'etre is explained.

Not too bad. Maybe things are starting to gel.

In #4 we discover what's in the briefcase, someone kills Christoph, and something seems wrong with Deathstroke.

And we're treading water, as Deathstroke fights yet another Legacy mook, and we get the expected entrance of The Ravager, who has become a total cliche.

I believe this is the current team's last issue. The run ends the way all 90s comics should end.

Next ish Rob Liefeld takes over, and I cancel the series.
