I've known Cary for years, but had never heard his voice until tonight as I'm listening right now. Pretty cool.

By the way, Cary, the winner of the Top Cow contest (which I entered also) was Drew Melbourne who did Archenemies through Dark Horse.

As for Haven, we'll list the rest as release dates come closer, but they (Fallen Justice issues) are all in the database. Just so you know. smile.gif

It is really cool listening to this. I knew a lot of this, but it's still cool hearing my buddy Cary talk. Kind of wild. smile.gif

Great interview and discussion so far. As I type this I'm about 43 minutes in.

RD Hall is a great guy. I've only had the pleasure of meeting him once, but man, we talked for a long time and never ran out of stuff to chat about. Really cool, fun guy.

Oh cool! I'll be at Mid-Ohio, I hope you make it, man!

Couldn't agree more about the marketing aspect of making comics, and it's something many, many indy creators don't have a clue about in terms of not realizing they need to do it! And with Small Press Idol, I also know how much you have to really get your book's name out there to get people interested. It's a HUGE factor in indy comics that EVERY indy creator needs to learn.

Ha, it's so funny that you and I fell into lettering and how neither of us really aspired to be a letterer. But yeah, it is a lot of fun.

Lol, yep, that's me. smile.gif

I don't remember hearing that story about how you came up with the logo for Red Handed. That's pretty cool. smile.gif

Just a great interview, I really enjoyed it! Of course, I may be a little biased. smile.gif

Seriously, if you guys get a chance, go check out Fallen Justice. Cary is a very solid and good writer and Harold Edge is an amazing artist. Not to mention Ross Hughes' colors. Great concept, great book. www.redhandedstudios.com

I really had fun doing this one. Thanks Brant for putting the two of us together to talk! I was really feeling upbeat through much of this episode. I think that came through at several points. I was quite happy with this one.

Great podcast! Carey seems to be an awesome guy. I know there's a lot happening on the podcast front but being the "retro-minded" guy that I am I really enjoyed this one as it goes back to the roots of what the Related Re-Cap started out like a year ago.

Chuck, I agree; this was a really upbeat interview, but I guess that Cary just has a really positive attitude.

Like Brant, I had never heard Cary's voice until now and I have known him for years; I can say that I was there when he first put his toes into the comic creating pool!

This was a great interview and Cary is a really inspiring creator.
