Hey everyone! I wanted to leave a message here discussing getting in touch with me, communication with CR and what to do when you hit those times when you need to send a shout out our way.

Background:
First of all, I realize it's a bit tougher to get hold of me these days and I apologize for that fact. I was a little short sighted when I was first created CR and didn't realize the success and growth we would see over the years (thank you for that support). For the first six years I handed out business cards that listed my direct e-mail address and my personal phone number. It was a simpler time. Over the years, I've learned how bad an idea that actually was and I've found it fairly impossible to resolve. On any given day I'm, quite literally, about 1000 or more e-mail behind due to the volume of press, requests and kind words coming our way.

Solution:
Please know that there are three people who chart the day to day course for CR and can serve equally in an admin capacity should a problem arise. John Wilson and Brant Fowler can help and will be the point people to resolving any issues you may have. Darren Mueler is also key to the organization, but serves in a much more tech focused capacity.

Should an issue arise, please contact either John (email john@comicrelated.com), Brant (email brant@comicrelated.com) or myself. If you are trying to get to me, please understand that there will be a significant delay in the response. Also, effective today my existing chuck@comicrelated@com will no longer be a private e-mail address. Messages sent there will copy John and Brant and that e-mail address will begin to function in much the same way as our press@comicrelated.com address does now as I'm moving away from it.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to leave them here. I'll be watching this thread closely.

Cheers,
Chuck

Other key e-mail addresses to know:

press@comicrelated.com - The best spot to contact us, send previews, news or just about anything you would like to see on CR.

columns@comicrelated.com - For our columnists and those providing con coverage to send in their work.
reviews@comicrelated.com - For our reviewers to send in their work.
podcasts@comicrelated.com - For our podcasters to send in their audio and show notes.
webcomics@comicrelated.com - For our original webcomics to send in their work.

If you write or create content for Comic Related and you are not currently using one of the bottom four ways to get us content, please consider moving to the appropriate address with my continued thanks for your contributions and help!

Hi Chuck,
As Tommy Hancock's somewhere on the road heading for Washtington DC with his family for the holiday weekend, I thought I'd inquire. And man oh man, good for you for posting this. You're only one soul my friend and Comic Related has truly grown to Godzilla proportions. Ha. Anyways, did you and Tommy ever get together on CR carrying our new podcast show PULPED? That was the mutual wish of all us hosts.
And hey, while here, Happy 4th amigo.

We did initially then I think things got lost in the e-mail static I'm trying to resolve. My plan though is to launch the new podcast next week bud.

Thanks for info, I'd assumed as much. Here's hoping this new approach, with support from John & Brant, truly helps you manage The E-Mail Beast. rolleyes.gif

Thanks for this Chuck. You know I was trying to contact you over the last few weeks, but only because yours was the only email address I could find on the forum. Got a lot of help from Bill Nichols.

My account was deleted, for some reason. Think I know what or who was responsible.

Thanks for posting this contact information by the way.

just as a point of clarity and to avoid confusion, we three in the above mentioned message are the ONLY ones with the ability to delete member accounts.

Actually, I too have that ability, but it definitely wasn't me!

Ok...four. I say this to merely keep any false accusations and finger pointing to a minimum.

Hey, I never mentioned names.

I always thought there was 5 or 6 moderators. Never knew there was 4.

And don't worry, I won't point fingers at the person or persons who did it. Just found it bizarre when I tried to login and my entire account, and certain comments, were gone.

Again, I will not name any names whatsoever. I'm beginning to think some software or some such incident killed my account.

But what irks me, most of all, down to my very soul, is that I now have the title 'newbie'. wink.gif
Even though I have been here for years.

Now I know how Kirk felt when he got demoted from Admiral to Captain.

Darren probably does have that ability too, but I doubt it was him, and I know it wasn't me, so it probably was a glitch or something.

Also, the four of our emails have been on the contact page, linked on the bottom of the main site, just fyi: http://comicrelated.com/contact.php

I'll update that page to reflect the changes and add the other CR emails Chuck mentioned above soon.

Didn't Kirk want to be demoted to Captain though? He hated that desk job!

Much like Kirk, consider this an opportunity to start fresh and to feel young again.

It's a bit like Death of Superman really. Gonne for a while, then a new guy shows up with the same name and people wondering if it really is him...

'Cept I am him, not an imposter.

I mean, I am sure people know what I am like, so I have to wonder who wanted me 'whacked.' And like Columbo, I have my suspicions...

Thanks everyone for the welcome back.

@ John

If only life were so easy.

But, courtesy of The Gutter, this comic makes rebooting life awesome.

He's low key when it comes to his project choices but he's best known for Alias/Manhunter. cool.gif

One of my favorite artists with an extremely unique style.
