Yeah, I saw that this morning also. I've seen most of those movies and was really a fan of his before Dark Knight. I joke that 10 Things I Hate About You is a guilty pleasure of mine. It's a chick flick to be sure, but every time it's on TV I have to watch it.

I too was a Ledger fan long before Dark Knight..... I loved Patriot, Lords of Dog Town, A Knight's Tale, 10 Things I Hate About You, Monster Ball and even Four Feathers but always liked Ned Kelly and The Order the most.

I still have to see Cassanova.

(wasn't a big fan of Brother's Grimm...but somehow it still ended up in the d.v.d collection....oh well.)

Yep, all those movies you mentioned were really good, at least the ones I've seen. Never saw Ned Kelly or The Order.

As for Brothers Grimm, I didn't care for it that much either, but I thought Ledger's acting in it was superb. I honestly didn't recognize him at first. He really was a method actor, and I found that very endearing about his talent.

Ledger was a very talented actor. I appreciate the way that he, despite having a face that could easily have made him a typical leading man, reached for the chance to take on roles that depended more on stretching his abilities than just on looks. Had he lived, I think he would have had a career as varied and interesting as those of actors like Gene Hackman and Jack Nicholson.

FWIW.... here's my homage to the already legendary performance of Mr Ledger in the Dark Knight. RIP.

Nice work, Paul. Powerful stuff. Me, I hated Brothers Grimm, but truly enjoyed his light hearted flair in Casanova. That's a wildly funny movie.

ATLANTA (AP)—The Hawks’ real-life mascot got a little flying time during the playoffs.

“Spirit,” an actual hawk that flies down from the rafters during the pre-game introductions, decided to hang around for the start of Game 2 against the Miami Heat on Wednesday night.

The bird was perched atop the scoreboard at tipoff, refusing to go to his handler. Then he swooped around the arena while the game was going on, landing on a railing in the lower deck before he settled on the top of the basket at the Hawks end of the court.

When the players spotted the bird, they refused to go on. The game was halted with 8:28 remaining in the first quarter until the handler finally arrived, luring Spirit to his arm and carrying him out of the arena to cheers from the crowd—and several players.
