I'm doing very well, my friend. Working on some anthology stuff- should have a 40 page short-story collection for Pop Culture. Also working a 22-page first issue that will be drawn by Kevin Hicks- 6-page preview for Wizard World Chicago and finalized first issue by next Gem City.

Oh...yeah...raising a two-year-old that has too much of his daddy's temper.

The Mrs. (just as you) has just finished the school year and is looking forward to a 3-month break.

How are you?

Glad to hear you're doing well and staying busy! Now that my summer break has finally started, after I hammer out some editing for Joe Shover I'm going to do some hardcore writing myself.

Two year-olds can be a handful, from what I've heard. wink.gif

Are you going to Comfest, by the way? Or is that something local Columbus citizens boycott like we boycott Troy's Strawberry Festival?

Like most of this figure, Kevin, except for the face. The shadowing on the left side is really too intense and doesn't work at all.

Edited post - I see Kevin took my critique to heart and softened the face shadowing. Looks ten times better, and makes the whole piece a real winner. Way to go, Kevin.

Great job Bill, if you have read the No Gods books then Bill's pinup ties in all of the key elements of the series. I'm also loving the finalized version of Gorgeous Gal by the dynamic duo other wise known as Chris Martin and Chris Hoskins. I actually prefer the censored version. And Ron, thanks for the honest critique (thanks also to everyone else for your comments). I'm still not 100% in love with my pinup but I feel a little better about with the retouching. I definitely need to work on my inks as well. I went with the old Wally Wood adage..... when in doubt, black it out. That's what I did when my cross hatching on the face took a turn for the worse.

Thanks for creating such awesome characters for us artist folk to draw Dustin.

Dustin...thanks for posting that, dude...I'm glad you liked it.

Kevin....my long lost friend.....your comments are much too kind.

Hope to catch up with both you some time in the near future or recent past.

And I have to agree with Mr. Hicks....Dustin's gotten some great versions of the characters in his books...and should make for an interesting gallery of work in the trade paperback if he decides to go that route.

First and foremost, you fine gentlemen shouldn't be thanking me...I should be thanking you. Your individual interpretations astound me, and I'm amazed by all of the artwork.

I'm not exactly sure how many will go into the trade paperback. Obviously, I want to keep the trade as cost efficent as possible. However, all of the pieces I've received will go into the individual issues on my next print run. Speaking of pieces I've received, here's another beauty from Mr. Kevin Hicks...
