Robert Hickey, the new owner of Comic Related, will be my guest on the Related Recap podcast next week for episode #291!

Have questions you would like to see him answer?

You can e-mail me at recap@comicrelated.com or leave your question here and he'll answer them live on the show. Throughout the episode, he and I will talk CR and quite possibly unveil a few plans along the way. From one generation of CR to the next, hear the entire story next Wednesday!

Cheers,
Chuck

I've got an easy, and fairly obvious one...what's the first order of business? We've heard mention of changes afoot, so what's the first thing you want to see change?

The CR family of podcasts have a huge following. Will they continue to be an on-going part of CR's future.

Will there be more daily posts to the site than there have been for the last few months?

How does the change in ownership affect Comic Related convention coverage in the future?

Can I call Robert 'Daddooo' from now on? (Animaniacs reference, folks) wink.gif

Okay, in all seriousness, some questions.

How will the new ownership affect other BlueLine products, such as Sketch magazine? Or is that more of a question for Bill Nichols?
Will ComicRelated continue to be free to join, or will there be membership fees?
Will the site undergo a redesign and interface redesign? I would rather it would not because I think the layout and interface is pretty darn sweet and easy to use.
Will the podcasts continue to run?
Are elements of the site gonna be cut or changed?
What are Robert's plans for ComicRelated?

As far as I know, Sketch will be unaffected by the change. Same with Blue Line, I'm guessing...

I was going to ask a really really trollish question... but decided that since I don't know this person, I probably shouldn't.

Will "I'm not from here" and other Near Mint Press comics still be welcome features on Fridays?

Thanks,

Here's hoping this podcast session with Chuck and Bob can air soon, as things have already transpired, such as several podcasts being canceled and strips removed from front page. Before doing the Chicken Little sky-is-falling bit, really want to hear from the source what's happening to Comic Related. Now, guys.

New Comic Day, price for the asking, the zone 4 webcomic, Why I Love Comics, Panel Discussions and the raynman power hour are all no longer part of the new cr.

Don't get me wrong...not a fan of a lot of the changes here....but I'm just one guy. And we all knew things were going to change.
RaynMan is already is discussions with another website that may well become our new home and another podcast that just got the axe is going the same route.

AND I wanted to remind everybody that the Zone 4 web comic as well as New Comic Day and Price For The Asking have their own websites so "hopefully" this keeps these projects afloat.

And I'm sure the PFTA books will still keep going if Ron and I can keep the teams on it together.

Done deal in regards to PRICE FOR THE ASKING. With two comics now produced ( # 2 coming any day now) and # 3 in the works. It is here to stay mystery fans. Rest assured. Both Bill and I want to be hanging on when Hollywood comes knocking. wink.gif

Will Comic Related continue to actively support the "Independent Comic Community", and will the focus of CR shift towards more mainstream content and coverage?
