Wow. Look at this. GAPO the Clown now has an OFFICIAL forum. How cool is this.
First I have to take a minuet to thank Chuck for setting all this up. What he does to help out us small time cartoonist is so appreciated. It's a lot of work and I owe him big for this. So let me just say to Chuck here, on this public forum, if there is anything you need that I can provided or help get, just ask. I mean it. Art, free comics, help getting rid of a body. Just name it. Anyway, I'd like to welcome both of GAPO the Clown's fans to the forum. Feel free to post away. I look forward to these pages being abuzz with excitement. And I promise I might even be here to read what you post. |

Oh, and for the record, I don't look nearly as creepy as I do in that photo Chuck took of me. I'm a nice guy (most of the time), honest.

Welcome aboard, Tony. Been meaning to stop by here and say hi, alas a little lung surgery held me up.
 Having survived that,I'm now very, very careful not to laugh too much as my stitches pinch like hell. So please, let's keep it serious.

Ack.. that sounds serious. Hope you're doing okay.
I always found that the best part of surgery were those wonderful little pills they send you home with. Almost makes me wish I was going under the knife again. |

Ha, you got it. Although I stopped taking them two days after I got home. Why? Because as good as they are in killing the pain, they also shut down a very vital function in my anatomy. The one that processes waste.
 And believe me, suffering a little big of pain over beingconstipated is my choice any day. |

Well, the way I draw the comic (and write it for that matter) doesn't lend itself to backgrounds much. I don't want to just leave them white because that would look off with the color characters. And I don't want to use the same color in every panel because that would be boring.
I'm actually thinking of changing things up a little with the next storyline (which will tie into the comic book which you can still buy at gapotheclown.com). Working with a larger art board which would free me up space wise. We'll see. |
