Yo Comic Related Family...G-Man and I really..really...really want to write and produce a weekly private eye webcomic for CR. But to do so we need artist...not plural. Our idea is to have at least two to four different artists, that was we won't be burdening any one dude (or dudess) and would revolve each new story line we deliver. Sadly, we've been scouting for months now with no takers.
I'm really surprised, as I thought our CR family would have lots of hands being raised to join the fun.
Guess we were wrong. sad.gif

I'm not an artist but if I were and if I had the time, you know I'd lend a helping hand. Sadly, this is not the case. Sorry about that.
Good luck finding someone, I am sure that you will.

Thanks for the support Tim! There's no way that the Captain or I are going to let this project slip to the way side. We are both actively looking for artists with a goal of securing four. We both feel that would ensure the strip never sees any stops, stalls, or lengthy hiatus of any sort once we get it off the ground.

Ron and I are both "hyper writers" with the ability to turn out stories very quick so this thing could easily turn into a collected comic after every few completed story arcs.

There is still an artist "attached" to the first arc entitled "Yesterday's Burning" but a communication break down has made me a little paranoid. Hopefully we don't lose the guy because he's a very talented illustrator and both Ron and I like the character designs he's submitted so far.

But if you're reading this right now and want to give this thing a crack, just let me or Ron know...a top notch creative team including Chris Hoskins on inks and Brant Fowler doing the lettering is also at your disposal.

No one yet. Hmmm, what do we have to do around here, pull teeth? Come on, guys...and gals. Don't you want to be part of something really cool.
And keep in mind, our intent is to publish the strips after they've run on the site.

Actually....I've been talking to someone who is very interested. He wants to attempt a six panel "try out page" and if things go well, take it from there. I will write him up something later this evening after all the Father Day and birthday festivities are over (my oldest step-daughter turns 26 tomorrow having the party today).

If things go well...we may have one out of the three or four we are looking for PLUS I'm thinking that try out page would be a cool extra feature in the first collected edition!

Good idea, Bill. My pal Blake Wilkie IS signing on and should have sketches for us by mid-week. So we may have two. And I sent that fellow from India
Price For The Asking bible. Who knows, this may be something he wants to try? We need to stay aggressive here.

About five to six panels....laid out like an actual comic page. We envision staying six weeks ahead at all times.

Will do!

Had a great Father's Day! The highlight was playing Ted Nugent's "Snake Skin Cowboys" and Twisted Sister's "Captain Howdy" on my five year old grand daughter's pink Hannah Montana acoustic guitar.

She thought that was pretty cool.

So did I.

Yup, we are going to do these like traditional comic book pages with the intent of actually printing comics later on when the stories are complete.

Just letting everybody know that Price is moving along fine. I got a little paranoid for a while but original artist for the first story arc, Brian "Smallivlle" Latimer is still very much on the project. Some matters on the home front including moving into a new apartment and waiting for the internet to be installed disrupted the channels of communication for a while but he has recently sent in copies of the first three pages and they look amazing!

He is going to try to knock out three pages a week for the next few weeks and these pages will be off to Chris Hoskins....the best damn inker I know then they're off to Brant Fowler...the best damn letterer I know.

Also...we did pick up two new artists during the recruitment drive....as Ron mentioned Blake Wilkie will be penciling the second arc and right now I believe Brant is staying on as letterer for the second arc, and hopefully the long term. I'm not sure about Chris yet.

And....Chad Strohl will be doing the pencils on the third arc. He will also be doing the inking and grays. If you love Chad's work on NCD, you haven't seen nothing yet. The guy is an incredible talent and gets better all the time. I'm very glad to have him join "Team Price" and look forward to working with Chad on yet another project!
