While doing a little reading around Ron's blog I learned that Rob Davis and Ron are in the publishing stage for their 108 page erotic horror graphic novel, DAUGHTER OF DRACULA. The illustration pictured above (by Rob Davis) is the inside front cover of the book. Talking with Ron earlier today we learned that DAUGHTER OF DRACULA is in the hands of the printer and may be available for sale as soon as the next few weeks.

Oh yeah, this is a project that has been building for over two years now. That's how long ago I wrote it. Daughter of Dracula presumes that shortly before the start of World War One in Europe, Marya Dracula met young Manfred Von
Richthofen, the famous flying ace of Germany known as the Red Baron. In our tale she is smitten with him and goes to
Berlin to begin a torrid love affair with the daring flier. Please note due to the adult sexual depictions throughout, this novel
is strictly for adults only. It is an erotic gothic tale, very much like an old black and white Hammer film on steroids.
And wait till you see the color cover ...! We've been keeping it under wraps...as a major ploy. Once folks see it, they are
going to have to pick up the book...and see what's inside. It's that hot.
You've been warned. Ha.

I was lucky enough to get a peek at that cover. Wow! My eyes are still burning. It's amazing.

People, welcome to these boards the Amazing Mr.Mark Justice, one of the most talented souls I know...and truly one of
the funniest. Mark worked for one of our early pulp anthologies (Secret Agent X - Volume One) but his real love is horror
and he's written some truly remarkable, scary gems. Visit his websites at your own risk. Oh, and did I mention he also
produces PODCAST OF HORROR, which has to be experienced first hand once in your lifetime.
Mark, thanks for coming on board and believe me, the second DAUGHTER OF DRACULA is up for sale, you'll be the first to know.

Hello, all- I'm Rob Davis the artist on DOD (as Ron and I refer to it in e-mails) and let me tell you what a ride it was drawing this. TWO YEARS in the making... and that was just my drawing it-- one page a week. Now Ron and I are on pins and needles waiting for Ka-Blam print-on-demand printers to get our initial order out the door. This being my first foray into POD there were a few glitches, but we have those lined out now and it's just a matter of them verifying the files and getting them in the loong line to the print machine itself.

Any questions about the project and the art I'm more than happy to answer.

Thanks to Chuck for getting this all going!

Hi Yah Rob, and thanks for signing on, amigo. This is truly going to be a marvelous forum for us to promote all our future
pulp projects under our Airship 27 Prod. banner and our comic work under the Redbud label, which we are using to print
DAUGHTER OF DRACULA. And of course lots more good stuff on the way.

Artist Rob Davis and I were informed by Ka-Blam, that our files for the 112 pg Daughter of Dracula were all verified and
approved today. They sent an invoice for the publishing cost, we in turn paid them. Now the order moves to the printing
queue. Another big hurdle crossed. Yahooo! Fingers crossed, we'll be holding copies in our hands in just a few more weeks
now. After almost three years of hard work, sweat and tears. Oh yeah.

One inch closer yet. Ha. Rob writes that he received the actual "proofs" from Ka-Blam today and says the cover came out
so damn beautiful...to quote his wife, "Ever horny teenage boy in America is going to buy this book!" Ha. He did think some of the interior pages printed too dark and is going to ask them to lighten their scans a bit. Once done, we're giving them the green light to print the 30 copies we've ordered.
I did a comic shop signing in a local store today and spent most of the afternoon talking Daughter of Dracula. By the time I left, I had the manager and staff all chomping at the bits to get their hands on this. Ha.
Me first.

I was a guest of Nellie Woe's Comics N' Such in downtown, Dover, NH. Shop is owned and operated by Jason Santo, a truly
wonderful guy and I had a great time getting to visit with him, his lovely wife, and their staff during the course of the day.
Beside meeting lots of super great fans. We're hoping to do this again as soon as Daughter of Dracula is available.
Oh, and Chuck, a polite reminder. After you've finished reading Witchfire, we would love to have you post a review of it at the Amazon page where it is listed. Thanks ahead of time.

I received notice that Witchfire shipped from Amazon late last week. I'll have to check my mailbox and see if it's there!

Hope you like it, Chuck. On the Daughter of Dracula front, Ka-Blam's owner, Barry Gregory and Rob together picked out
20 pages that printed too dark and Barry is going to lighten them up on his end. 20 out of 108, not too severe an adjustment. As Rob is discovering, these processes are very much learn-as-you-go.

Hey, Larry old buddy, great to see you here. Please stop by often. I want to have fun here and get some threads going on all kinds of things. Including your own two new comic projects. Both Rob Davis and I are keeping our fingers crossed that once
Daughter of Dracula is up and on sale, it will be a big hit. There have been very few private printings that you can qualify a real success and we're hoping DoD will be one of those.
