My wife is a die hard Yankees fan. I really enjoyed watching the last game of the 2009 series with her last night.

A lot of bad plays by the Phillies, and the Yankees win again.

I felt like a little kid all day today! What a great end to a great series. Baseball is magical.

If last night really was Hideki Matsui's last game as a Yankee, as it might be since his contract ends now, what a way to go out in style!

That will be a sad day for the Yankees, Matsui's departure. We're experiencing the same thing with catcher Jason Varitek most likely not coming back next year. A guy who has been the caption of the team for so many years. Will be really sad. I'm hoping Jason will retire from being an active player. Take a year or two off and then come back to work as a manager. He would be a great one.
And so we wrap up another great season, heh, guys. Thanks Glen and Aaron for keeping this thread going, it was as if I were watching the games with you two all along.
Bill, am happy you and your wife got to enjoy last night's victory. True story, my nephew Scott Papajohn is a die-hard Red Sox fan. He married a lovely girl from New York
a few years back who is all Yankees. They have one room set aside in their house with all their sports memorabilia. One half painted in red for his stuff, the other in blue for
hers. Ain't baseball great.

Ron,
I just read that next season's schedule has been announced. The season will both begin and end with the Yankees vs. the Red Sox at Fenway!

The guy's birthday has been over for two days and he's still getting presents!
