Once again, Lisa...nicely done. I really enjoy these and hope you continue to make them. They're great compliments to the strip and really shows off all the hard work you do. This strip would be lost without you.

Liked the second song the best...thought that really fit the mood of the strip pretty good. And nothing for nothing...you didn't make a mistake on panel three. That was supposed to have been the Black Cat and your origianl coloring would have worked.

No big thing I guess. Instead we get the Scarlet Witch for two panels instead of one...but she's my favorite anyway.

Oh really? The black cat. That one didn't even cross my mind. Originally I was going to color her as cat woman, blonde like Michelle Phiefer in batman. Oh well, I tried. ha ha

I'm really glad you dig the videos. They are a lot of fun to make. That's my favorite song of the bunch as well btw, its amazing to me how many drinking songs I had in itunes. Pretty funny for a girl who doesn't drink. That's country music for ya.

Let that be a lesson, always put notes in for the colorist.. I'm kidding but it does help to know what the writer/artists have in mind sometimes.
Fantastic work Lisa, and the video was great. I really need to add some of those cool title cards (text and spinning text) at the beginning of my
next video(s).

Ok guys some new videos! My process flatting and coloring new comic day #35. I was looking back over all the videos I've been posting on youtube lately and I started feeling bad for all of the people subscribed to me for comic videos. The last like 10 videos posted have all been my weightloss stuff. So since I needed to color new comic day on monday anyway I recorded the process. So its me walking you through my process hopefully with some tidbits of knowledge thrown in. lol Originally I actually recorded the lettering stage as well. However I decided not to put those videos up because it turned into a long boring mess that I don't think would have taught anyone anything anyway. Let's just wait on that and hopefully sometime in the future Brant will post some videos and you can learn lettering from someone who actually knows what he's doing. happy.gif

So it turned out to be about 20 minutes worth of video. I cut out a bit of the flatting process... it was getting to long.

Some things I learned making these videos...

1. I should adopt the raynman timer method... since I have no video editing skills if I record the tutorials in say 9 minute intervals then I won't have to edit anything. So that's a note for next time.
2. I shouldn't post actually video of myself in tutorials because my webcam is not widescreen and my monitor is... so in the first video it stretches out the webcam video. Result I look even fatter than usual. ha
3. By the end of this I got far to comfortable and started singing along with some music I had playing in the background... so unintentional and I'm surprised I'm still posting the video. We should leave the singing to Brant as well. lol
4. Recording long videos in cam studio with audio causes the audio to not stay in sync with the video. So most of the time what I'm saying doesn't match up to what I'm doing. Need to figure out how to fix that.

That's about it I guess... so for those interested here's a link to part one, there are 4 videos total.

I think it came out very well. Killer Robots Love You has been on a hiatus, otherwise I'd make another
attempt at making a video myself. The problem is the software will not work on my system. Keep up
the amazing work Lisa, and I am looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks guys! I'm glad you liked them. I think if I'm going to keep doing this sort of tutorial I'll have to get a better system in place though. So that no more spontaneous singing pops up. That was part of the reason I didn't post the lettering portion of this process... I sang way to much. Plus I got frustrated with one of the panels and you guys don't need to hear my all annoyed and frustrated. lol Though there was one funny part that popped up... if you watch the coloring portion of the video I was agonizing a bit over whether or not Luke had a gun in the original Star Wars. I couldn't remember I didn't think he did, but it looked like he had one on the page and so I finally gave up and colored it like a gun... however in the final version of the comic it was all for naught because I had to put a word balloon over the darn thing anyway. ha ha

I think they came out well. I just wish I could make my own videos (not just coloring but any kind,) I can't though because of the fact that the
software will not work on my system. I have 64x based Vista System and most of the software and codecs are for the 32x system. Anyway, back on the
subject of the strip; have you considered lettering over the line art first, then color it? This way you'd know where those pesky balloons will be.

I actually had thought about lettering it first. Though then I know I'd get lazy and not color behind the balloons... so if we ever wanted to say snatch a panel or 2 out for promotional stuff or something and we needed it without the lettering then I'd have funny uncolored spaces. lol That was my thinking on it anyway.

About the software... I'm not sure what to tell you. You'd think they'd offer codecs for all types of systems. So strange. I hope you can figure it out, I'd like to see some more videos from you.
