Even since its creation, all Airship 27 pulp books have been published by Cornerstone Book Publishers of New Orleans, owned and operated by our good friend Michael Poll. I learned this morning, from his wife, Eve, that last Sat. Michael suffered a mild heart attack and was admitted to the hospital. Eve writes that the doctors said it did not do much damage, Michael is stable and should be home within the next two to three days. Where he will be made to endure complete and total bed rest for the next two weeks; doctors orders.
Our good wishes and prayers go out to him and below is his mailing address, should anyone want to send him a get well card. Michael Poll Cornerstone Book Publishers 2117 Veterans Blvd. Suite #334 Metairie, LA 70002 Thanks ever, Ron |

Thanks for letting us know Ron. I would say it's safe to say that our collective thoughts go out for his quick recovery.

Thanks Chuck, I'm happy to report Michael came home this afternoon and is resting comfortably. The heart attack was brought on by overwork and hypertension. Doctor has ordered complete bed rest and no business for the next two weeks, to include phone calls or computer work. You can bet is wife Eve will see to that. Ha.

I hope he can take this as a chance to slow down a bit and enjoy life and get his blood pressure under control.
I'm gonna be that medical professional that uses this opportunity to remind everyone to get your blood pressure and cholesterol numbers checked. Take care of yourselves so that there will be lots of awesome comics for the next generation. -------------------- ![]() |

Let me add my own AMEN to that, Sapphire. Good health is essential to all of us, but even more so as we age and enter our 30s and beyond. Its a known fact our metabolism do slow time with aging, making all the more important that we watch our weight, blood pressure, cholesterol count etc.
And we here at CR have the Fit Initiative which Lisa Moore got rolling over a year ago. So if you are one of us who recognizes you need to drop a few pounds and get healthier, just scroll on up to the General Discussons forums and join us. Sorry to hear this, but glad to hear things seem to be rapidly getting better. Please keep us informed, and Michael will remain in our thoughts and prayers here.
