We're recording tonight and we're going to be discussing some of our favorite evolutions in the lovely ladies of the Comic Book world.
So who are your favorite good girls gone bad or bad girls gone good? Your favorite developments in character? -------------------- ![]() |

I've always liked Poison Ivy, Catwoman, and to a lesser degree, the Black Cat. I think Felicia was cooler before they made her batshit crazy personally, but hey whatever works I guess. I've known girls like that so it's not out of the realm of possibility. Selina has always been great because she does what she wants for her own purposes. Ivy...is just twisted. I kinda hated the Uma Thurman version but since we widely disregard that horrible movie, I tend to do the same.

I'm probably too late to chime in on this, but Mystique is a good one. She's flip-flopped more times than the Pancake House has flipped a flapjack. I think that speaks to the psychology of one that constantly shapeshifts, losing her own identity and is never really sure of who she is, but always ends up on the bad side of things eventually.
Another one in is Emma Frost who, if you count the short lived series a few years ago, started off as the sweet innocent girl in family full of arrogant rich people, then developed her power, came into her own and became the Emma we knew as the White Queen. Not so much evil as opportunistic, and then reformed, became a teacher, and eventually a leader. But at the core you always have that question in the back of your mind whether or not she positioned herself there for some grand reason, or if it really is love with Scott and her. And to a lesser degree there's Songbird, once a B-level villain known as Screaming Mimi who was part of the original Thunderbolts when the Masters of Evil, which she was affiliated with, disguised themselves as heroes when the Avengers disappeared. When she and others turned on Zemo and actually tried to become heroes she gradually and naturally flowed into a leadership position, completely reformed and trying to be a better person. Can't think of one that has gone from good to bad off the top of my head. Maybe Polaris when she found out she was Magneto's daughter, but I wasn't reading X books at the time, so I'm not sure. -------------------- |
