It's the lyrics that make it bad. It's not the worst song I've ever heard, but the lyrics are asinine and insipid. The melody, like Eric said, is very similar to a lot of songs over the years. It feels like a bit of late 90s early 2000s pop like LFO with the melody and the bit of rap mixed in. And to make it worse, the girl could barely sing. She could carry a tune, but that's about it.

lol, well I meant she stayed in key. She sang it straight, no real skills, but she did at the very least stay on the melody. There are some big name singers that can't even do that, especially live. Just sayin'. heh. Of course, it does sound like there's a bit of auto-tuning in this song also, so she might just be flat out terrible...

Yea, that's pretty bad ... I think my teenage daughter was describing this "horrid song" to me a few weeks ago but I didn't bother looking it up at that time. For me, I don't care how catchy the song is or how well someone sings, if the lyrics are bad (or just plain stupid) I can't listen to the song. This is bad on all accounts though.
The one that tops my "worst song" list though is Willow Smith's I Whip My Hair. |

This song does one thing. It shows how potential can be wasted. This girl, all of 13, has talent but no direction. If a good producer were to take her under their wing, have her work with a voice coach, and have someone far more experienced rework the music and lyrics into something more marketable, she'd be able to go places in the music industry. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening.
