We are new to the board and looking to introduce our book and studio as well as make friends.
About us-CZKWorld Studios is made up of a two man team located in Nashville,Tn. Michael, writer and creator and Kevin, artist and art design. Our stories (titles) all evolve around the same post apocalyptic time frame. A gripping world of infection, lies and conspiracy that intertwine the characters between the CZKWorld titles. Our first publication, “Corey the Zombie Killer” also known as “CZK” will be released in June 2011. It will set the stage for the titles that will later follow. The Plot-In Book One, we quickly jump 1 year after the infection has taken place where we find Corey (young human man). He learns his survival depends on finding someone to trust in a corrupt zombie ruled planet. Every turn is a twist….leading to the unforeseen and a rising body count. You could call it a primer or just give it a subtitle, no number, call it a one-shot, etc.

This has been a HUGE learning process for me....writing scripts, rewriting scripts, reviewing scripts at reads then rewriting scripts. Production meetings, finding holes in the storyboard that weren't apparent in the script. Also...learning about quotes from vendors, production numbers, lining up appearances, promoting on a nearly nonexistent budget. Its all amazing. I must say I've learned a lot and I am eager to see what is coming ahead. I know its out there....I will take it in stride and make it work. I find it all really awarding.
I have really struggled on how to present this story...it was originally a thought for a short film. But I didn't have the networking connections or the funds to do it as a film. So the next best thing was to make it a graphic series. When I wrote the series, it was done as one complete thought. Each chapter picked up where the last left off. Thus making it difficult to break it up into individual issues as currently planned. Until now...we are back to one complete story. We will present a fraction of the beginning story as a individual comic. Then we will later release the story as a whole graphic novel. I think the story is best appreciated as one complete title. With that, I didn't want to release the single issue (introduction to the novel) as #1 or the much used #0. So when making a decision, I remembered something someone asked me....what are you saying about humanity with your book? After much debate, I have decided on " Amity Eroded". -------------------- |

Today Kevin and I met. We completed a storyboard for a fight scene towards the end of “Amity Eroded”. He touched on some slight modifications that I agreed would open up the intro to this battle.
I look at this first offering and feel we should have more to present for a project that started in September of 2010. “Amity Eroded” is a touch less than half of the first chapter; I’m hoping it’s enough to entice you to continue on. Unfortunately there will be a long pause before anything other than character intros that are posted to the web are published. It’s because I truly believe something is lost when the story is separated into multiple issues. -------------------- |
