Have you ever wanted to suggest a topic for the team to tackle? Do you have a question for any of us? This is the place to do it.

I'd love an episode devoted to the Amazing Spider-Man, or at least what used to be the Amazing Spider-Man, we all know it has since become the Craptacular Spider-Man.

I'm at least open to considering it. What exactly are you thinking of Tim? A review? Critique? A focus just on Amazing or all the main titles? Do we include the Ultimate line? What about the related titles like Spidergirl and the like? Should we offer our ideas for improvements? -------------------- You can Email me or visit my blog, Desultory Views, which I do update when I get the chance.

Oh we're doing this no doubt. We gotta wait till I get back tho, cause there's no way Fowler gets to slide the Scarlet douche in without a riot on my part!

LOL Hey, say what you will, but Ben Reilly had some good moments. I have always said and will always say that the IDEA of the clone, and the BEGINNING of the Clone Saga was decent. Not great, but decent. And I enjoyed Ben both in the New Warriors and Sensational Spider-Man when he took over and donned that suit everyone hates that Spider-Girl eventually wore.
But yeah, an ASM episode would be great. -------------------- |

Anyone have suggestions on topics for next week's show (#108), which we record this Saturday night?
The cast will be myself, Ron Fortier, Chuck "Prime" Kennedy and (if he still can) Bill Gladman. -------------------- |

Now I feel like an idiot, I did not realize that Chuck replied to my suggestion. I wanted [any] discussion on Spider-Man, the early comics, the cartoons, the movies, all of it or any of it. Spider-Man used to be my all time favorite comic both title and character... that was until Marvel jumped the shark with the clones, and then shortly after that the MEGA events kind of ruined the franchise for me.

Talk about the 90's Boom in comics: What ones you fell in love with, how many variants you bought, which ones you knew to stay away from, the secret title you read and loved which is okay to share now, etc

Aw, that's sacrilege, Tyler. I HATE Slott's take on Spidey... of course, I'm basing that on his recent runs BEFORE he took over as the main writer, and I've not read any for a while. Still, I think the only writer that's gotten Spidey stories is the guy that did the Rhino issues I've lauded multiple times.
But that's a discussion for another time and place... like Zone 4! But not until Cary's with us so he can dog me some more. -------------------- |

Yeah, I am with Bran on this one Tyler. The last Slott "Spidey" story I read was a mess. He was great on She-Hulk, but I don't think he has a feel for the character.
I really wish Tom DeFalco were back on the title. |

I haven't read a Spiderman comic over twenty years. If we're going to discuss the character, then let's discuss his history, its importance to both Marvel and the world of comics. Having been there...gee, that sounds funny...at his birth and a fan for the first six or so years of his comic life, I can certainly chime in there. Beyond that....the Three "Young" Zoners take over.

I happen to like the history of Spider-Man, heck it's my honest belief that Spider-Man was better from its inception up until the mid 1990's when they jumped the shark as it were. As much as I liked the 1990's animated series (it really was a terrific series), I would have to say the Spider-Man is an animated television series that ran from 1967 to 1970 was among one of my favorite retro cartoons. Heck, I even enjoyed the 1970's live action series as well, despite its low production values.

I also liked Dan's idea for a show on the 90's Boom in comics.
