Worldwide Free Comic Book Day - Falcon Heights, Minnesota

The Source Comics & Games in Falcon Heights, Minnesota is one of thousands of comic book shops around the world celebrating the comic book art form on Saturday, May 7th, 2011. On Free Comic Book Day, over 2.5 million comic books will be given away by participating stores worldwide, introducing as many people as possible to the wonders of comic books!

2011 FCBD - D. CookeFree Comic Book Day kicks off the door to a summer of exhilarating adventure and exploration. "We're giving away 31,000 comic books! That equals over 1 ton of comic books or just north of 1% of all of the comic books that will be given away in North America on Free Comic Book Day!" said Nick Postiglione, co-owner of the Eisner Award winning, locally owned, Source Comics & Games. "There's absolutely no purchase required to get a stack of free comic books. Just get yourself to the Source and see what's available with no strings attached. Bring your family, your friends, your neighbors - there's plenty available, and comic books are a cool place that offer something for everyone and where everyone is absolutely welcome!"

Free Comic Book Day kicks off at 10AM on May 7th, 2011 and runs until 9PM at the Source Comics & Games, 1601 West Larpenteur Ave, Falcon Heights, Minnesota. There will be guest comic book artists and writers, prize drawings and many other surprises! Something for everyone and everyone is welcome!
