Does anyone have any links/advice on the drawing of explosions and energy lines. Like zaps, booms, blasts.. that sort of thing? I've hit a bit of a wall with two big old "ZAPS" I'd like to pencil in and I'm not sure how I want to proceed. Just looking for a spot of inspiration.

Explosions
That tutorial is from Concept Art.org, and is a really good one for explosions. Polykarbon has some wicked cool tutorials for photoshop regarding energy effects, but the unusual thing is that they work really well for drawing too. Since the construction of the blast starts out in the same way as a drawing, and thus they are really helpful. Have a look for yourself.
