Hello,

We're currently in the middle of another Kickstart project to raise money to help offset printing and production costs on future books. We hit our main goal in less than a week and the campaign is still going strong and we'd like to see it get even better.

Currently on our fourth issue, The Gathering anthology has received critical acclaim from sites like Aint it Cool to Wired and had pro contributors such as Gail Simone and Sterling Gates lend a hand with stories.

The Gathering seeks to allow up coming writers and artists and opportunity to have their work published (sometimes for the very first time) and to date over 100 different creators have worked on Gathering issues.

If you pledge, not only are there some great rewards offered (like a short story in a future issue or a shot at a webcomic) but you'll have access to over 30 pages of past and future Gathering stories.

We appreciate any and all help in raising funds and even if your pockets don't go deep please pass the link around and make sure others hear about it. We've already increased our output of books in 2012 due to the success so far. Let's make it even stronger.

And visit our site www.grayhavencomics.com for details about GrayHaven Comics and The Gathering

Thank You,

Andrew

Just an update to all the craziness with the campaign. We were hoping to get to 2000 by the weekend. Even though there are 30 days left in the campaign that magic number will enable us to add one more volume of the book for next year's publishing plan and of course open submissions then for that volume.

So any help in pledges or passing the link around would be very appreciated.

As of last night, the funding for this project has reached $2410 with 32 days left on the clock. Our reward incentives have also increased, with the latest being the chance to have a script/ comic reviewed by Gail Simone. This offer has already sold out, but other rewards are being planned as we speak. So please spread the word! All help is greatly appreciated.

Also, volume 4 of The Gathering is now for sale at the Grayhaven website. 52 pages for $3.50, it includes former Spectacular Spider-Man and Rampaging Hulk writer, Glenn Greenberg's return to comics as well.

And let's not forget Mike Lapinski's return to the pages of The Gathering straight off the highly acclaimed Feeding Ground mini from Archaia.

We've now reached almost $2600, so thank you to everyone who has seen this link and pledged. Thanks to all the support, we've now got another volume on the production schedule! Currently submissions for this issue are available only to people who have pledged, but will be open to others at a later date.

20 days left to go. We've already gone high enough to add the FAIRY TALE themed volume for next year (which anyone who pledges can submit to).

In addition to free comics, sketches and your name in our comic, pledgers get previews of future issues, a webcomic tryout and even a 5 page short in a future issue depending on which reward tier you pledge to.

Help spread the word. We'll be at NYCC this October with a bunch of big announcements for the coming year. Thanks for helping support the small press and giving future creators an opportunity to have their work published

Another comic professional has graciously given of their time and offered 5 lucky pledgers an opportunity to have their comic or script reviewed.

Writer/Editor Fabian Nicieza (X-Men, Cable and Deadpool, Red Robin, Legion Lost) will review your comic script/book (no graphic novel sized books please) if you pledge 150. Limited to 5 pledgers only. Expect this one, like Gail's reward, to go quick!

8 days to go and we near the 6k mark.

There are still plenty of cool rewards available but the big news is we've opened some more submissions for next year's volumes.

Head to www.grayhavencomics.com for details on how you can get in on an upcoming volume

And help spread the work on our Kickstart

Much appreciated, Fred! Thanks for the nice words. We're enjoying the success too biggrin.gif

Even more enjoyable is seeing some new names amongst the pitches we've received so far. It's been awesome biggrin.gif

Coming up on just over 30 hours left on The Gathering's kickstart donation, and a huge thank you to everyone that's helped fund us so far. We have one last reward to offer, in the form of a 22 page script review from former Marvel editor, and current writer/ editor at Scholastic Inc, Glenn Greenburg. Check the link for full details... http://www.kickstarter.com/projects...-book-anthology
