Okay. so! I've been busier than all hell working with the awesome Ron Fortier on a story called "The Smuggler's Lament" It's a four-pager for a few anthologies. I've also started taking commissions and am available to do so at WEDNESDAYS HEROES. All of my info should be over there as of wednesday Dec. 7th. to view samples of what I do commission-wise I've put up 2 pinups in my artwrecks thread.

Ron and I will keep you guys updated on release dates of this story. so HERE SHE IS! The Smuggler's Lament!

The gray scale works better with your line art IMO.

I love how you're not afraid to throw blacks down on the page. Really adds weight a lot of modern comic art misses.

Thanks Greg! I think the grayscale looks good too, though, I think a killer colorist (not me) could make me look a lot better. As for time. Pencils and inks come to an average of about 8-9hrs. Gray or color causes me to lose track

Hot off the heels Smuggler's Lament, I'm working a new mini-project written by Nikola Jajic called "Playing the Game" Got to bang this out tonight. Having fun. This is an 11-pager so only 10 more to go Color and letters will be handled by other folks so I'm excited by that too. Hope my style isn't too confusing to the colorist.

I sure do prefer you in black and white / grayscale, though. That stuff just makes me drool.

thanks a ton Fred! Though you prefer the B&W i'm trying some new ways to color my own stuff. here's a sample. I did it really fast so a lot of the flatting is wonky. more to experiment with technique than to do finished colors. Lemme know if it's bad/okay/good.

Number two I'm writing it a little wordy like older comics were, so I've got to leave more room for word balloons.

FWIW as an comics old-timer I like the more expansive dialog and believe comics should be at least a 20 minute read and maybe good enough to even slow that down to take 30 minutes -- I saw something lately about a 5-minute read max -- but I think it was referring to on-line stuff -- which may be about right. To me the real test is then whether you want to keep it around so you can do it all over again. I too like love letters to the old days and I think you capture the 80's feel very well.
