It’s something that Ringtail Cafe has always wanted to explore, but didn’t have the time and resources to do so. That has finally changed, and we are currently working on the first Confectionaries game! It will be a simple side-scrolling game, featuring Scotch. To see the initial sketch of the sprite animation, check out The Confectionaries new website. As the game development progresses, we’ll be posting weekly updates on http://www.theconfectionaries.com/ every Tuesday.

So, we've been playing around this weekend, and we built our first game. It's a very simple side scrolling flyer game where you collect candy, and avoid some bats (and evil plants) It's mainly geared towards young kids, but we have more advanced games coming down the line.
What we need now...are play testers. We're on version 1.0 of the game, and we already have some upgrades planned (a few new enemy types, a few more background and foreground elements for the parallaxing effect, etc.) What you see now, is a rough working model of what's coming, minus a few of the pretty upgrades. It also doesn't have the finalized music, or sound yet. But, who wants to help test it out? Oh, and as a side note...for those of you who may have missed it: We instituted a points system on the Confectionaries website, where you earn points for logging in each day, responding to posts, etc. Eventually, we will be tying those points into our game system to allow for in game bonuses, based on those points.  Let us know if you want to help test!

Here we go! Our very first game. We worked hard over the weekend to put together our first game. We learned a lot doing this, and you should see quick updates, and new games coming out rather frequently! Also remember to log in and comment on posts on the websites, because the points that you earn on the website will eventually be useful for perks in games!
