Hey folks.
Sorry if I am not present on the forums for a while, but my grandmother passed away this morning at 3.00am. It feels strange even saying that now, as it still feels so weird to believe that she has gone. Yet she spoke of my late grandfather, Jack, in the days before she died, and I cannot help but feel that he came to get her in her hour of illness. She died on the 20th November, 6 days before the 19th anniversary of Grandfather's passing. You'll forgive me if I am not present on these boards for a while. Anyway, hope everyone is well, and I'll be back on the boards in about a week two. Mind yourselves. |

Firstly, thanks for the comforting words. I really appreciate them
Last week was fairly rough, to be honest, but my gran lived a long, happy life, and it showed at her funeral how much people cared about her. She was alive for 100 years, and boy, did she make our days better. Angels need wings to do good, by my gran did not have any wings, got car sick unless she was in a car with certain people (some she trusted to drive, like my uncle, and my late father, and my late grandfather, and some she did not, which was a few) so it is amazing the influence she had on people, not just relatives. If she only knew someone for a day, I guarantee you they were in her prayers every night from then on. I honestly thank God everyday for someone like her, because she was the best grandmother, and best great grandmother, and it really was a wonderful send off she got at her funeral. The priests knew her, so their words were genuine, rather than someone who had no knowledge of her beforehand. She was ill for the last 3 or 4 months, but did not suffer any pain, thank God. Just gonna be strange her not being around anymore. I mean, she was sharp as a tack until the end, even sewing a few buttons into my cousin's shirt days beforehand. They honestly don't make people like her anymore, and I doubt I will see anyone like her in my lifetime. Anyway. Thanks for the kind words, I'll be posting here again, only when I have something to chime in on, as I am fairly busy nowadays too. Talk soon.
