Hey All,
What are all the shops in and around Lexington? I'm trying to get my book in stores, and it's not through Diamond yet, so I'm trying to do the whole meet and greet, schmoozing. I know of: Collectibles, Etc. A Plus Comics and Collectibles Comic Interlude What others are there (if any)? Thanks! -------------------- |

I forget the name... Heroes something... just across the street from Collectibles Etc. It's over in the Wal-Mart parking area all the way in the back. Nice store though a bit focused on the card gaming. Tony at Collectibles really likes to support local creators. Talk to him and he'll help. Years ago, that's where I had my monthly pull set up.

Herorealm or Heroes Realm or whatever is what you're thinking of, and I THINK it's owned and operated by the Comic Interlude people, or so I hear.
As for Collectibles, yeah, they were my LCS for years. But Tony told me straight up to come back if/when it's through Diamond sadly. I haven't even submitted to Diamond yet, so I don't know what will come of that. Tony's a cool guy and all, but I wish he'd take it without Diamond. That's business though. Thanks, Chuck. -------------------- |

On Collectibles... Too bad. Tony's loss. Hero's Realm,or whatever it was called, shut down. I think they moved it to Georgetown somewhere. I, too, vouch for Tony's coolness. Collectibles Etc. carries our first book (as of last week) and have been much easier to deal with than the other guys in the area. If you're looking to do the meet and greet to get your comic into shops, Morehead, Danville, and here in Somerset all have shops that may stock your book. They'd only be up to an hour and a half drive from Lexington at the most. Generally it works on a consignment basis. -------------------- Octane Comics Official Website for all the updates on our comics and whatnot.
Disconnected's myspace page which we rarely update, but it's got some cool pictures. Octane Comics' Forum lots of previews and news about upcoming projects end up on here first. Disconnected: Tales of the Sovereign Here's where to buy our book on the web. |
