Watchmen Watches Blu Graphic novel in motion. by David McCutcheon January 23, 2009 On March 3, 2009, Warner Home Video will release The Watchmen The Complete Motion Comic on DVD and Blu-ray. The most celebrated graphic novel of all time that broke the conventional mold continues to break new ground as Watchmen illustrator Dave Gibbons oversees this digital version of the graphic novel that adds limited motion, voice and sound to the books strikingly drawn panels. All 12 chapters of the story are here in nearly 5 hours of footage. The Blu-ray version will contain a look at the "Prison Break" scene from the motion picture's trailer. The Blu-ray will be available for the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) of $35.99, while the DVD version will run for the MSRP of $29.98.

Holy smokes! I was completely unaware of this puppy!! But it looks like they missed their release date? I mean its 1 Feb. today and we're now just seeing this release news? Wonder how long it will take these to get in stores? Hmm, or maybe there will be some in New York at the con?

The article itself is dated 1-23-09...the release date for the Motion Comic is March 3rd. Sorry about the confusion.
