A lot of good things going on with the Wicked Tales book coming out this October from Wild Wolf!!!!

The creative team behind the hot series "No Gods" (which was a huge success at Gem City this past weekend)....Dustin Carson and "Manny" are slated to do a story for the book. At the time being it is a ten page story called "Burn Victim" which may grow into fourteen pages. Either way it will more than likely end up being the centerpiece of the book. I read the script Saturday afternoon and it was incredible!!!

Oscar Pena just sent me a promo piece for the story "Dead Money" written by Frank Raynor and illustrated by Big O himself.

Looks pretty good....but don't just take my word for it, check it out yourself.



After a little tweaking this thing could be the best piece of art I've seen Oscar do and he's done some very good stuff in the past! Currently he is working on finishing the pencils on the eight page story.

Aaron Smith has come aboard as well....writing a great six page story called "History of Blood". The story will be penciled by newcomer Josh Goodman and I will be doing the inking on that tale.

Sean has infromed me that John Wilson may be in the book as well as the writer of a story that will hopefully be drawn by Jackie Hernandez.

This six page story is written by Ron Fortier and illustrated by Mike Williams.

Chirs Metzger and I will will be working on our story "N. I. B." hopefully before the beginning of May....work is really piling up and I'm running late on three book reviews which I'm sure people are really beginning to wonder if they are ever going to get finished or not....Chris is also finishing up work for Tiki Samurai and starting work for Jack the Rabbit...but WE WILL find the time to knock out this six page story.

Sean of course has some kind of story in the works and will be doing the framing sequences for all the stories that features the still yet un-named "creepy host".

Another story still planned as well is "Denial" written by Raichal...she's having some artist problems with that. Originally I wanted to do it....but things have changed. (just don't think I can squeeze it in the schedule and do the script justice) Her second choice has knuckle headed. Any artist out there interested in a very powerful and truly disturbing eight page pyscho-thriller?

Also still slated to appear are a couple or stories by Tad Cleveland and Dave Arhar. Re-prints form other books that these guys have already released but very good stuff that deserves to get as much attention as possible. Very glad to have them on the project.

Should be quite a book when everything is said and done!

In the last 12 hours I have lucky enough to READ previews of two more stories going into the Wicked Tales book.

That's right....Lisa has already finished lettering the 7 page N.I.B. story which I worked on with good friend Chris Metzger. Amazing! I keep saying that but it's very true. I sent Lisa a re-touched script and the final art pages Sunday at midnight my time and by 5:00 pm the next day she was done!

WOW.

And things just keep getting better.

Just finished reading a completly FINISHED Dead Money story written by my pal Frank Raynor. The guys over at Studio Akumakaze made sure this story got done and done well. Chris Martin did some fantastic artwork that fits the mood of the story perfectly and BJay Johnson administered the final touch be lettering it.

A very polished story with the feel that Frank wanted...smooth and cold.

Writer Tad Cleveland and artist Lee Jones has also very recently finished their Gifted story which was previewd here on the Comic Related site a few months ago. Haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure it's pretty damn cool as well.

I can't wait to finally see all of these stories in one book, and I hope niether can you!!
