Secret Agent X was not the first pulp character I tackled, that honor goes to Jim Anthony, but X soon became one of my favorites! I was asked to contribute a story for the re-issued edition of X #1 but the Air Chief himself Ron Fortier.

And I hit the ground running, finishing up my tale in about 2 weeks. I sent it off with fingers crossed and was blown away when Ron accepted it and told me it would be in the new version of X #1. What a thrill! Secret Agent X is one of the overlooked characters in pulpdom or, dare I say, overSHADOWED. All us pulp fans know that Doc Savage and The Shadow are the Big Two of the Golden Age, but amongst the rest, Secret Agent X is tops in my book.

I'm not done with the character either. I'm kicking around an idea for a Secret Agent X full-length novel which I hope to get to by the end of the year.
