Okay amigos, it seems some of you are really anxious to get your hands on DAUGHTER OF DRACULA. As I've said here previously, as soon as our order is printed and delivered, Ka-Blam will put the book up for sale at their store site,
Indy Planet. The book will sell there for $10 plus shipping and handling.
Well, several of you have already written me asking to buy an autographed copy from me directly. If others of you would like to do the same thing, then okay. Send me a check for $13. Be sure to include your mailing address printed clearly.
I am getting 20 copies in my first order and right now it looks like they are going to disappear fast. Ha. If you wish to
do this, drop me an e-mail to let me know first (www.airship27@comcast.net) so that I can reserve a copy for you.

Wow, but the advance orders for Daughter of Dracula keeping coming, most of them generated from these very forums.
So to all of you have stopped by, thanks a million. And those of you who've ordered an autographed copy of the book, my heartfelt thanks as well. Again, I am only getting 20 copies in that first order and they are going fast. Please be sure to
reserve one, if you want one of these.
Of course, not to be overly bombastic here (ha), soon as these 20 are all gone, I'll certainly being ordering more. The advance vibes on this book are just so positive.

Well Ka-Blam officially shipped out our copies of DAUGHTER OF DRACULA today!!!!!!!! Rob used the UPS number they gave him and learned he is suppose to get the book next Wed. 21 Nov. At which point he'll package mine up and get them in the mail to me. Of course, as promised, the day I get them, will be mailing out those copies some of you super people have already ordered from me. Thanks so very much. Once again, I'm hoping once we have our copies in hand, Ka-Blam will finally put the book up on sale at their site, Indy Planet. More as it develops.

QUOTE(Ron Fortier @ Oct 31 2007, 01:26 PM) *
Hey, Larry old buddy, great to see you here. Please stop by often. I want to have fun here and get some threads going on all kinds of things. Including your own two new comic projects. Both Rob Davis and I are keeping our fingers crossed that once
Daughter of Dracula is up and on sale, it will be a big hit. There have been very few private printings that you can qualify a real success and we're hoping DoD will be one of those.

Fingers crossed, Ron.

As everyone who's followed this knows DOD is now available at IndyPlanet.com and hopefully the pent up interest will now translate into orders. Ego aside, this is one really nice package with Mark's dynamite cover and the great gothic romance/horror/mature story inside. Hoorah! It's now available!

Rob, old buddy, its not bragging to be proud of one's accomplishments and with Daughter of Dracula, we both know in our hearts that we knocked this one way out of the park. Which is why were so damn eager to share with others. Oh yeah.

Wow, G-Man, thanks for the great review. I'm truly happy you enjoyed the book so much. Of course you are one of the few insiders who
know the "big" news we're about to reveal concerning a new publisher for DoD. But I'm not going to spoil someone's thunder. Look for
an official Press Release on these boards shortly.

I thought the book was awesome, Ron!

It may sound weird , but one of the things i liked most about the book, which I didn't mention in the review was the page at the end which you wrote about how the book came about.

Your research of the Red Baron, Rob's artwork process, and the facts about the Dracula films...including Dracula's Daughter. good stuff!

I'd love to find that film and watch it.

Other Christmas gifts that I recieved but not yet had the time to enjoy.....d.v.d. copies Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstien, Son of Frankenstein, Ghost of Frankenstein, and House of Frankenstein.

They all came in a box set called the Frankenstein Legacy.

Aha, now I am very familiar with that Frankenstein Legacy set, Bill. And ...if you ever find the Dracula Legacy set, guess what's including...
yup...DAUGHTER OF DRACULA!! I have both these two sets and the Wolf-Man one. Like yourself, I am a sucker for those Universal classics and hopefully one day you'll get to see Daughter of Dracula and discover what it impressed me so much. Again, a million and one thanks for that awesome review.

Watched Dracula's Daughter this weekend. Turns out my good friend Chris Metzger had a copy of the film....I really liked it and thought it stood the test of time...but I didn't care for the ending. I don't understand why someone who had been loyal to the Countess for all those years would all the sudden decide to kill her?

Did I miss something?

Yup, the man servant was in love with her personally, and in the end his jealousy of her love for the psychiatrist drives him over the edge.
This was actress Gloria Holden's only starring role in her career. She later play many supporting parts, but alas stardom was not in her
stars. Still, most critic still consider it a far superior outing than the original Dracula and of course, I agree. biggrin.gif

Just watched the original Dracula film...a movie I last seen when I was about nine.

Although I thought it was very nice.....I did enjot Dracula's Daughter better. I'm not going to take away anything about Dracula...but after seeing both films I like how Dracula's Daughter started right where Dracula ended...and incorparted several lines from the previous film as well.

" I never drink......wine."

I was very glad to see that Edward Van Sloan played Van Helsing in both films...I liked him very much. I also liked Renfield in the first movie.

I watched the "Road to Dracula" documentary afterwards....I liked how it points how they filmed the Spanish version of Dracula at night with , on the same sets...with the cast and crew trying to out perform their English speaking counterparts....which judging by some of those scenes...they did!

Hmmmmm.....Chris let me borrow a copy of Abbot and Costeillo Meet Frankenstein as well....might as well knock that out too!

It's now official and we can scream it to the world. We've found a publisher for DAUGHTER OF DRACULA!!! Wild Wolf Entertainment, headed by CR's own Sean Collins has taken on our erotic gothic novel of love and blood thirsty vengeance to help bring it to a much larger
audience than Rob and I could ever hope to reach with self-publishing. We are extremely happy to be involved with this exciting new
publishing venture and know Sean and Wild Wolf are going to do great things!!!

Which one day may be worth tons, heh, Glen. Ha. One can only dream. Thing is we really hope this wider exposure will bring us a much bigger audience that we still believe the book deserves. All fingers crossed.

I don't know why some movie studio hasn't snapped it up.
