I guess the Sword of Omens didn't give Stephen any Sight beyond Sight. Anyway, sorry to hear that you won't be able to participate Mark. I hope you'll be alright.
As for me, I may not have time to finish this either.. I really need to find a job and to raise $ to keep my house. So all my attention id focused on that.

I am not going to make it and I feel like I have been away for sooooooooooo long! June and July are just too busy with my family to get anything finished except for what little work I have been doing lately. Good luck to all who do enter and "Thundercats Hoooooo!!!"

Anyway, my mom is back in the hospital again and I haven't had time to work on it until now. She hasn't been walking for over a month, she hasn't eaten in weeks and her second back surgery is later today around 7 AM.

My scanner is broke any way.. just my freakin' luck. It figures, the one challenge I really wanted to enter and my scanner decides that Twain isn't working.

EDIT: I hate my life I really do. Anyone know how to fix a HP scanjet flatbed scanner?

Tim, I'm really sorry to hear about your mother. Everything else is secondary. As far as the scanner is concerned, I've never touched them to repair. I have an ancient one from back in the year 2003 that will probably be unusable thanks to my last Win XP computer dying. Frakkin' Vista and Windows 7. That old HP scanner was a good one!!

Thanks for the well wishes about my Mother. I need the scanner fixed because when I go to work on my kids's book again, I will need to get all the images scanned in. The problem is that it just won't work. It keeps giving me an error message.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software? Sometimes that works.

Tim,
Have you tried looking at the HP site for that scanner. There might be a forum or FAQ section where other people have run into the same error message,etc./

I think everyone's just gotten caught up in life and other things, too. And maybe, weren't sure they could take your place. So, what's the word? You back and ready to make these challenges fearsome?

Sorta getting there Bill! Since accepting Christ as my savior, kind of have this don't give up attitude smile.gif So kind of fighting several up front wars, Divorce, Bad Habits, and drawing more... the drawing more has started off, just need to get more serious about it, ya know, shut up & just do it, but with life like it is, somedays I just don't find the time... working a full time job again has really been great and hard too, lol. As for the divorce stuff, all I can say is I am not given up till I see the mushroom cloud, and even then, I will probably keep fighting. Persistence! In a Godly, humble way smile.gif Bad Habits, well, no more drinking, no more smoking, no more lusting, replaced either with working out or getting up and go for what I call is a pray walk! So I am going to be back just need to get some more footing on the ground before I make any commitments to other things smile.gif

If I don't talk to any of you sooner than later, have a great Halloween, get this, I get baptized on Halloween Sunday, now oh cool is that smile.gif

WOW! It sounds like your life has had major changes! I've been struggling to recommit while I work through this strange thing called freelancing It hasn't been an easy year, and I've hit some major burnout from doing so many card sets and related projects, which is why I haven't participated in any online contests. It's not easy. PM me, email me, or give me a call. It'll be great to hear from you!

For me. it is all due to the lack of free time, I have put almost all my time into looking for work; or trying to find a way to keep my house.
I think we all have been burnt from life and just about all of us have been given a bag or ten of life's lemons. I hope that in 2011 we can
ALL overcome our setbacks and get back to what we do best!
