Sketch Magazine Contest: Penciling a Blood and Roses print: The Minotaur
Attached File  BRCROPPEDLI.jpg ( 152.07K ) Number of downloads: 26

Using the SkyStorm Studios characters of Christiana Blood and Tamara Rose, your challenge is to pencil a print utilizing the elements of the two characters facing off against a Minotaur. Balance the charging/attacking Minotaur with the Time Agents attacking, etc. Dangling from a chain necklace is a shard of the TimeStone.

The winning pencil drawing will be inked by either me (Bill Nichols) or Bob Hickey. The entries will be judged by a panel of pros that will rank their top three choices and with luck, offer some opinions of praise and/or constructive criticism.

The big prize: To be printed in Sketch Magazine and a pack of Blue Line Pro Bristol.

There may be several printed in Sketch, to show off some of the other talent.

This contest is open to EVERYONE, so the more, the merrier, from every level, including pros. So, spread the word. Challenge your friends. Get some buzz going.

Deadline is August 1st, 2010.

Basically, the TimeStone is a diamond-shaped gem that is part of a larger one. You can see an example here in the center.

I'd offer to color the winning entry but to be honest I am not sure I'll even have regular access to the internet much less electricity by the time the contest finishes.

For some reason I was thinkin this contest was bout sequentials - but it's a 1 page pin-up?

If so - thats EASY(er)!

I got sequentials on the brain, 2 pager for one publisher and possibly a whole lot more from another. It's funny how VERY different so sequentials are from pin-ups - I had no idea! Tough but still fun - most of the time. wink.gif

UGG brain hurt, UGG tired.

I wish I could sleep-draw.

I am gonna assume it is that glowy green diamondy thingee, and if it is a shard of that also gonna assume it is something like the kryptonite prison shiv Kevin Spacey shanked Superman with all made into a green glowy necklacey thingee.
