So I don't think I mentioned it on the forums yet but my time with Darkwing has come to a close. It was a ton of fun while it lasted! The series officially ends with issue 18. I received my copies in the mail yesterday, which means I can't hold on any longer, gotta move on. lol I was particularly pleased that the last two issues were a cross over with the Duck Tales comic, so I was able to color a bunch of those characters. I was more of a duck tales girl in my younger days so that was a bonus for sure. I don't believe a preview has been released of the final issue but I do think it was some of my best work to date. So to make this a bit more interesting though I snagged a page from issue 17.
![]() In other news I can officially say that another comic book dream of mine came true after finishing up on Darkwing. I was given the chance to color some stories for the new Peanuts ongoing for Boom. They're like wish granters boom studios. heh I'm a huge fan of Charles Schulz and Peanuts. So they've allowed me to color a book with Disney in the title and now I'm working on Peanuts. It just doesn't get any better. ![]() So that's it, just wanted to drop in with some news. Now back to work, why is it that I'm most productive between 11 and 3 in the morning? I just don't get it. lol -------------------- |

Whoo-hooo that's awesome, Lisa! So this is what you were hinting at. As they used to say, good on you!
Peanuts has always been one of my favorites since I was a kid, so that's really cool. -------------------- |

Just called the comic shop and Scott made sure he placed a copy of this book in my file.
Lisa-I don't know how you do it, first you color the childhood hero of my daughter ...now you're working on a book that features some of the great characters that I grew up with. There is magic in the air...and colors that are magical. -------------------- "Reality is only for those who lack imagination" don't know who first said that....but it works for me!

That's awesome Bill, thanks for checking it out! I'm just getting super lucky with the things they have me working on. You have no idea how excited I was when the email with the peanuts offer came in. heh
Brant, thanks for the link to the preview. I guess I hadn't really noticed the new gallery feature for the previews before this. That's pretty cool! -------------------- |

You had mentioned the Peanuts gig to me, but the preview reminded me that the book was out....RIGHT NOW...and I had to get a copy.

Had I mentioned it? Wow, totally forgot about that. That's what happens when I'm busy I become forgetful... luckily I usually remember my deadlines, that seems to be about it though. lol
I'm glad your picking it up, you can never have to much Charlie Brown. -------------------- |

Just read Peanuts # 0 and loved it....loved the new stories and the reprinted classics put together to go perfectly with the fall season. Your coloring on the book was...as always....picture perfect.
Do you know if this is going to be an ongoing series? And if so are you attached as a colorist? And were you involved with the "Happiness Is A Warm Blanket" graphic novel which was previewed at the end of this issue? Nice work...next time I see you I will have a stack of books for you to sign! -------------------- "Reality is only for those who lack imagination" don't know who first said that....but it works for me!

Bill, as far as I know, it is an ongoing series launching in January with Peanuts #1. And she can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Lisa is attached to the ongoing at least for some stories.
The first issue will feature a Charles Schulz cover according to a press release that just came in this morning: ![]() HAPPINESS IS A MONTHLY COMIC BOOK SERIES, CHARLIE BROWN! READ PEANUTS #0 OUT NOW FOR $1! NEW SERIES LAUNCHING THIS JANUARY WITH PEANUTS #1! Happiness is a monthly comic book series, Charlie Brown! PEANUTS debuted at BOOM! Studios' all-ages imprint KABOOM! this past spring with the first PEANUTS graphic novel HAPPINESS IS A WARM BLANKET, CHARLIE BROWN. Now, thanks to a partnership with Peanuts Worldwide, Snoopy and the gang are back in a monthly comic book series with issue #1 coming this January! With the special #0 issue in stores right now — offered for only a buck — issue #1 kicks off this ongoing series with new original stories seen for the first time alongside fan favorite classic PEANUTS SUNDAY strips. “The PEANUTS graphic novel, HAPPINESS IS A WARM BLANKET, CHARLIE BROWN, was an event here at KABOOM! this past spring. We can't wait to see that excitement continue with a new PEANUTS monthly comic series,” BOOM! Studios Founder and Chief Executive Officer Ross Richie said. “Charles Schulz is truly one of the great creators of our time and we're honored to be carrying on his legacy while bringing his work to new generations.” PEANUTS #1 is written and drawn by Charles Schulz with additional stories by Vicki Scott, Paige Braddock, Shane Houghton and Matt Whitlock. This title ships in January with a Charles Schulz cover, featuring a price point of $3.99 with a Diamond Code of NOV110837. -------------------- |

I don't know that I'm the official colorist or anything but I'll be coloring at least some of the stories as far as I know. I in fact get to start the next batch of stories this coming week. Fun! Hadn't seen that cover for issue 1 yet, very cool.
