For those not too busy distracted by the spiderman pic, Chris Evans has been shown in full Cap gear, Shield and Hydra goons and all!
![]() Thoughts? Personally I love it. -------------------- |

Note the painted wings!!! When the first images, painted sketches done of Evans in costume, were first made public months ago, there were no wings. Period. Upset by this, I got our pal Rob Davis do some of his photo shop magic and he Painted on white wings to Cap's head piece. Once then we started circulating this touched up image all over the bloody internet, to include sending it to Harry Knowles Ain't It Cool site.
So, lo and behold, months later, we get these new photos of the movie in progress and there are those painted wings!!! Did someone in the production see Rob's little photo-shop magic and offer it to director Joe Johnson? We may never now, but in my heart, it's Rob's wings and I'm damn happy they are there. Now that's CAPTAIN AMERICA. |

I have to admit that it looks better then i though it would.
I was worried that the uniform would be to modern looking and seem years ahead of the period in which the film was set. Even in pre-production sketches I still had that worry. Now they are completely gone. This looks like a 40's era uniform. Sure it is fantastic, but it fits in with the period. No super advanced fabrics. Yes there is the shield, but come on. We all know it is a unique item. -------------------- "...but, oh God, the face! A skull to which no vestige of flesh seemed to remain but on which taut brownish-yellow skin grew fast, etching out every detail of that terrible death's head.

It looks great and very functional way better than skin tight rubber and fake muscles that you normally get in these type of films

Actually 6 months (July 22nd: http://captainamerica.marvel.com/), but I agree both that they need work and that they won't be altered most likely.
Still, Cap's costume does look pretty cool, much better than I expected. I'm pleased so far. -------------------- |

I really like this costume, too - it actually looks like it could have existed in World War II.
